  • Math Manipulatives for STEM Learners

    I can't thank you enough for your generosity in supporting our classroom! The new resources have already made a tremendous impact on my students, and I wanted to share a little about how we're putting them to use.

    From the moment my students saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. One student exclaimed, *"This is so cool! We've never had anything like this before!"* Watching their enthusiasm reinforced how much this project means to them.

    We've been using the resources in engaging, hands-on activities that bring math to life. Just last week, my students worked on a collaborative project where they used manipulatives to explore algebraic expressions. Seeing them actively discuss strategies, problem-solve together, and gain confidence in their understanding was truly rewarding.

    Looking ahead, we'll be diving into real-world math applications, using these tools to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Your support has made all of this possible, and I can't wait to continue sharing our progress with you.

  • Promote Kindness and Inclusivity with Art

    The new resources have been instrumental in helping my students plan and execute school-wide math events to elevate our school environment. One specific project we are working on is a "Math Game Night" for students and their families. Using the new supplies, such as poster boards, markers, and math manipulatives, my students are creating interactive games and puzzles that challenge participants while showcasing the importance of math in everyday life. They are also designing decorations and promotional materials to make the event exciting and welcoming. When the students first saw the materials, they were overjoyed and immediately eager to dive into their projects. One student exclaimed, "Now we can really make this look professional!" The pride and ownership they've taken in their work are truly inspiring, and the resources have boosted their creativity and confidence.

    The next steps for my students include finalizing their math games and practicing how to explain the rules and concepts behind them. They'll also work on setting up the venue and running through the event to ensure everything goes smoothly. After the event, we plan to reflect on its success and gather feedback from participants to improve future events. These opportunities not only strengthen their math skills but also build their leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities. We are incredibly grateful for the donors who made this possible and are excited to continue fostering an engaging and positive school environment.”
