  • The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Novel Study

    Funded Oct 5, 2024

Wow! We just started our novel study right after winter break. The students absolutely enjoy everything about this novel. It is so great that they each have their own copy to follow along during the read aloud. They are so engaged and connected to the novel and can't wait to read the next chapter each day. During this novel study, the students are learning and reviewing all of our literature benchmarks (theme, plot, character traits, and figurative language).

I can't wait to see how much they grow as readers throughout this novel study.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hodul

  • An Esperanza Rising Novel Study

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

Wow! We finished our Esperanza Rising novel study prior to going on Winter Break. The students absolutely enjoyed everything about this novel. It was so great that they each had their own copy to follow along during the read aloud. They were so engaged and connected to the novel and couldn't wait to read the next chapter each day. During this novel study, the students learned and reviewed all of our literature benchmarks (theme, plot, character traits, and figurative language).

When we got back from Winter Break, I would hear students saying how much they missed reading Esperanza Rising. And that makes my teacher heart so happy.”

  • 2024-2025 Sunshine State Readers

    Funded Jul 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. My students love these books. We are currently reading The Cursed Moon and you can hear a pin drop. They can't wait to find out how the story ends. Some already have "picked" the next one I should read aloud. These books fly off the shelves in the library because of how high of an interest they are. When I read these books to my students, they get to sit around the room and get "comfortable". My main goal is for my students to find a love and joy for reading. We teach them to read, now we just need to let them read!

Again, thank you much for your investing in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hodul

  • Kicking Off the 24-25 School Year Strong!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project. The items I received have helped me start this year off on the right foot. The shelving has been such an organizational game changer. The astrobright paper and laminating sheets helped with all of the beginning of the year information sheets. I can't wait to use the hooks for our first room transformation at the end of September (Ghostbusters theme).

These items are an essential part of the school year. I appreciate so much for your kind donations. You are appreciated.”

  • Wobbling into a New School Year!

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you again for donating to this project. My students are so grateful and absolutely love these stools. I truly see a difference in their behavior which then helps their academics. Their concentration has improved tremendously and they are much more focused during instruction.

Some students said, "I've never been in a classroom with such cool seating!" They are excited to come to school; which makes my teacher heart happy.

The parents love coming to visit the classroom as well. They love how welcoming my environment and conducive my learning environment is.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hodul

  • Wobble While You Work!

    Funded Jul 30, 2023

Thank you so much again for your generous donation! My students absolutely love these stools. They are even a fan favorite when other students visit my classroom.

I truly believe they help students stay focused and engaged in our classroom lessons. My tables in my classroom are all different heights, so I'm glad these stools can be accommodated anywhere in the room.

The stools are very well made and sturdy for everyone to use! I just love them in my classroom! Again, thank you so much for investing in the future.”

  • It's the Most Wonderful Time for Supplies!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. As a Christmas gift, we were able to give each student an ornament with their name on it. The stools have been a great addition to our classroom. They provide more options for flexible seating. The mini notebooks have been an absolute hit! The students received their mini notebook at the beginning of our Read Across America week. They documented their journey while learning about different regions of America. We continuously use them to set goals, take notes, create checklists, etc.”

  • Soaring to New Heights in 2022!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

As you can see from the pictures, my students LOVE these new items in our classroom. They choose to work at these locations all the time. They love the wobble stools and I am a firm believer they have improved their focus and concentration in the classroom. When other students visit my classroom, they are envious of my students and make comments saying "how lucky my class is." Eventually I would love all my own furniture in my classroom to help empower my future leaders. When students feel welcomed and safe in a classroom they will grow beyond measure. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Flexible, Organized, and Ready to Go!

    Funded Jul 31, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students love all the materials that were purchased through this project. The sterilite totes have come in very handy with all the new room transformations we have done so far this year. The wobble stools are a big hit. I truly believe the students focus better with these stools in my classroom. The students love the Sleuth and Solve mystery books. Those books caught their eyes the first week of school. When I explain Donors Choose to my students, they are in awe that people they don't even know give to our classroom. You all are seriously the best! Thank you for the bottom of my heart.”

  • Rock Your School 2022: There's No Place Like School!

    Funded Oct 7, 2022

Rock Your School 2022 was on a whole other level! This has to be my favorite room transformation yet! The students completed challenge to earn Dorothy's ruby red shoes, the Lion's medal of courage, the Tinman's heart, and the Scarecrow's brain. The laminating sheets helped keep the task cards usable for years to come. The decor was beyond amazing. The backdrops, table runners, and yellow brick road set the stage to engage. Our hallway was decorated for all to enjoy! The tornado with house backdrop was the first scene everyone saw! This was a day that definitely made it to the dinner table. Again, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hodul

I can't even begin to describe the feeling you get when you walk into my classroom. Engagement, communication, collaboration, creativity, compassion are just a few words I can think of to describe my classroom climate. Students in my class have ownership of their own learning and are the first to lend a helping hand to their classmates. Creating a warm, comfortable space for my students is essential for them to take risks and to never give up. I care about my kids and they know it. Taking the time to know my students well, not just as learners, but also as people, has helped to create a real sense of belonging in our classroom.
