I can't even begin to describe the feeling you get when you walk into my classroom. Engagement, communication, collaboration, creativity, compassion are just a few words I can think of to describe my classroom climate. Students in my class have ownership of their own learning and are the first to lend a helping hand to their classmates. Creating a warm, comfortable space for my students is essential for them to take risks and to never give up. I care about my kids and they know it. Taking the time to know my students well, not just as learners, but also as people, has helped to create a real sense of belonging in our classroom.
