This is my first year at this school. Many of the instruments in the building are old or in poor condition. My goal is to slowly build a collection of quality instruments for my students to use. Most students really enjoy playing the drums and we have very few drums. Every student has wanted to play drums at one point in their life. Drums give us the opportunity to explore many different things in music. The most important one being rhythm. With these instrument the students can learn to create rhythm pieces together as a class or in small groups. We can play to the beat of our own drums.
