  • Books, Baggies, and Prizes!

    Funded May 10, 2023

Thank you so much for your support towards our project! The book baggies are a big hit in our classroom. The students cannot wait to go book shopping knowing they have a sturdy bag that will hold all of their books. These book baggies have also taught them responsibility because they know these baggies need to be brought back to school everyday. The prizes are also a big hit in our classroom. The students especially love the little googly eyes puppets, and are so excited when they earn a prize. Thank you again for your donation!”

  • Reading & Replenishing

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

Words are not enough to express the gratitude I am feeling right now. Thank you so much for the generous donations. My students and I cannot wait to use these materials in September. I especially can't wait to see the look on the students' faces when they see the new series books of Mr. Putter. Thank you again for helping make sure our classroom is ready.”

  • Happy and Healthy Class Family!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the items that have kept our classroom happy and healthy so far this school year. The lysol sprays have helped kept germs out of the air and clothes. The duster has helped reduced dust in areas that are difficult to reach. With so many students feeling under the weather, we didn't have to worry about replenishing the tissue boxes, thanks to all of you! Finally, the lysol wipes have helped us clean our desks, our i-pads when necessary, as well as any other furniture that is used often, and by others. Thank you again for your support!”

  • Easy as...ABC!

    Funded Nov 2, 2022

Thank you so much for helping our classroom. These alphabet teaching tubs have made a tremendous impact on my students! My students are filled with excitement when they see me pulling out these tubs. After I mix all of the objects in a baggie, my students love to sort them into their respective tubs, while saying the name of the item, and the beginning sound it makes. This multi-sensory approach of learning letters and their sounds, has made one particular student soar. In the beginning of the year, this student only recognized a few letters and was able to produce two letter sounds. However, now he recognizes 24 letters and is able to produce 20 letter sounds! Thank you so much for helping this child, and all of my students, make a difference in their learning!”

  • Books and Baggies

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Wow! What an amazing feeling it is to have the students hooked on reading! I have all of you to thank for that. With your generous contributions, my students have founded a love for reading. The new books have encouraged my students to not only read, but actually enjoy what they are reading, especially the books based on the food groups (The Smart Cookie, The Great Eggscape, etc). Similarly, the book baggies have helped my students become excitable as they cannot wait to go book shopping week after week. Thank you again for helping this project come to life, but more importantly, providing a love for reading that some students did not have in the beginning.”

  • Show Me the Money!

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

A thank you never seems to be enough to express the amount of gratitude we have towards you. Nevertheless, I would sincerely like to thank you for your contribution to this project. These math materials have been a great addition to our classroom. Not only are the students learning the foundational skills they need for financial literacy, but they are now beginning to enjoy math time! My students have never looked forward to the math block during the day until these materials were introduced. Now, they can't wait to use the number lines, the ten frames, and the base ten blocks to solve addition and subtraction problems. Thank you for helping my students become excellent mathematicians!”

  • Soaring With Supplies

    Funded Aug 26, 2022

Thank you so much for replenishing these heavily relied on supplies that have helped our classroom become better and brighter. The students now have laminated picture dictionaries that they can use during writing workshop when they need a reference to spell a word correctly. My students also now have a colorful list of math strategies they can refer to in the classroom when solving problems. The ink, cardstock, and laminating sheets have become essential to making our classroom accessible to all the students. Thank you again for all of your support! We are forever grateful!”

  • Creating Fan-Cactus Memories

    Funded May 5, 2022

I cannot thank you enough for creating such an amazing school experience for my fourth graders as their year back from the pandemic. With your generosity, my students left fourth grade knowing they were loved and cared for. The personalized cactus shirts, and the book of encouragement, "I Knew You Could," (with a special note inside from me) meant so much to the students. They were in complete awe on their last day of school. Furthermore, some students even wore their shirts over the summer, really showcasing how much they loved them!”

  • Capturing Fan-Cactus Memories

    Funded Jun 13, 2022

This project made such an impact on my students! First, showing them a polaroid camera was a lesson in itself. They had to understand why the film could not be exposed to sunlight. They were also excited to see how different a polaroid camera (with the picture being revealed shortly after) was in comparison to a phone. Once the students understood the process, they could not wait for me to take their pictures. Many of my shy students wanted to take pictures in groups, and along with their peers who they were never really friendly with at the beginning of the school year. It was so beautiful to see everyone coming out of their comfort zones, and coming together to create these once in a lifetime memories.”

  • Supplies to Help Organize!

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

Thank you so much for making our year better and more organized. There is not a day that goes by where my students do not use these supplies.

My students use the dry erase lapboards and markers the most for math, and take it home as well to use for solving math problems. They would rather use the boards than scrap paper, which is eco-friendly as well. The rolling cart also gets used everyday when the students finish early from their assignments. Each row/colored drawer is dedicated to a subject, so when they are done with their work, they know where to go.

Glue sticks and glue are used everyday to paste homework, and other activities that require cutting and pasting. Lastly, the post-its are being used as page markers, as well as for Stop and Jots during Reading and Writing.

Thank you again for these essential supplies! You have definitely made our classroom more organized!”

My classroom is a fun and safe space where my students can be themselves, at the same time take risks and learn to be independent. My class comprises of twelve students with disabilities. Some of these disabilities include intellectual disabilities, speech/language impairments, emotional disturbance, autism, and other health impairments. Most of my students are English Language Learners (ELL) and come from a Latino/Hispanic background. They are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. They are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. They love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on.
