• Back to School Essentials

  Our classroom has been so functional and organized due to your generosity. We were able to have all of our supplies ready to go! Students were prepared with their pencils and notebooks all ready to go. Our homework folders were all set to communicate with families and have assignments underway. We also had our materials for guided reading which helped everyone to remember their groups and colors. Your time and effort to support our classroom is truly important to our success as a first grade community.”

• Culturally Diverse Texts

  These books were just what I needed to instill culture and values in my students.

  It's important for students to see and experience what other cultures are like in different parts of the world. Many students were able to connect and collaborate their culture and traditions with each other from exposure within each book.

  So many students have not heard of the countries and traditions that children all over the world engage in and this is essential for students exploring and learning about one another in the classroom and beyond. Thank you for your support.”

• Literacy Leaders

  The books that our class received from Donors Choose was sent with lots of love and intentions to deepen the understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. My class was engaged and shared moments with one another about events, holidays, fitting in, becoming better individually and creating friendships and relationships to last a lifetime. Each book covered multiple topics, vocabulary, and ideas that students need to be exposed to and learn how to act when situations and events that they will face come with knowledge and understanding of diversity. These stories will also stay with them as they appreciate the different ways in which we live, love, learn, and share ideas and help each other each and every day. We absolutely love each and every book received!”
