Funded Dec 6, 2016When my students saw all the boxes full of "surprises" for them they all got very excited. They were in such disbelief that all of those art supplies and fun items were meant for them. They were ecstatic to have a rainbow options when choosing their white board markers and highlighters. Another item that has significantly impacted my students are the fidget toys, instead of distracting others they are now able to focus a bit easier by keeping their hands busy with their new toy. It is really helping them stay on task, thank you for these lovely donations.
We have art materials! Now that we have color pencils, crayons, and fun colored paper we are able to add more art activities to our classroom. Whether it be coloring a diagram for a plants life cycle, making Valentine's Day wreaths or using the paper to create a Dr. Seuss paper quilt my students love it all!
As you may have heard in some elementary schools Dr. Seuss's birthday is greatly celebrated in the month of March. This year in my classroom, not only are my students getting to read his books but they will also receive a token to commemorate him and his fun characters. Using the prize system I have set up in my classroom my student will get to earn Dr. Seuss pencils and erasers all month long. I really appreciate your acts of kindness in donating to my classroom and helping change the lives of my third graders, we truly appreciate everything.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Guardado
