  • Kindness Carpet

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank You for your generous donation towards our Kindness Carpet. I am so grateful; but more importantly, our students will benefit so much from this carpet. I can wait to show our students our newest addition to our classroom. To offer them an area to sit together for story time or read independently.”

    Ms. Guardado

  • Congrats Grad Kit

    Funded May 6, 2020

My fifth graders were so grateful for their Grad Bags. Unfortunately because of COVID 19 they were not able to have a culmination ceremony. Being able to have a little surprise brought so much joy to my students. In with their Grad Bags, they got a picture of their class to remember their last year in elementary school. They were able to get some supplies to get them ready for middle school. Being from a low-income school this was very helpful for them and their parents. The students are currently using their new materials in middle school and are still assisting school virtually.”

  • Digital Learning Success Kit

    Funded Sep 1, 2020

My students have now all received their kits and they were so excited! Thank you so much for providing them all these amazing resources. In our virtual classroom, my students are now able to take out their manipulatives and use them to understand math concepts. They are able to follow along with lessons because they have the basic materials needed to be successful such as pencil sharpeners. They are super excited to share with each other the items in their supply kits. The next steps are to continue using these manipulatives and help my students be successful.”

  • Help Our Library Grow

    Funded Mar 7, 2020

As you may know because of the Corona Virus Schools have shut down and we are now doing virtual classrooms. On our final week at school my students were able to pick a few books to take home and thanks to you they had more options. They were so excited even though we did not get to read these books together as a class they are enjoying them individually at home with their families!

During our virtual classes students have mentioned finishing some of the books. I wish I could provide them with more but for now they are enjoying the new ones you donated. Thank you so much for sparking that joy for reading in my students!”

  • Improve Considerably Our Computer Literacy

    Funded Aug 25, 2019

My students saw the box with "surprises" for them they all got very excited. They were in such disbelief that all of we now have 2 laptops for our classroom. They were ecstatic to have computer where they can practice many different skills from reading online, fun math games to help them practice their skills and fun typing games to introduce/better their typing skills.

We have more technology! Now students are able to have rotations where they can use all the new technology donated. All of my students loved different aspects of the donations, with the laptops they can do so much.

This year in my classroom, not only are my students getting to read online books but they are also able to play many different fun learning games where they are engaged. Students are also able to to practice skills such as basic computer usage. This is extremely important for the grade level they are in because this will help them with testing which is no longer paper and pencil but on devices. My students and I really appreciate your acts of kindness in donating to my classroom and helping change the lives of my fourth and fifth graders, we truly appreciate everything.”

I want to give you all my sincere gratitude for your donations. My students could not have gotten these amazing items without your support. I will be able to laminate flash cards and other work with the laminating pouches. The students will now have access to more technology in the classroom. More technology means more opportunity for my students to access typing games, math games, and spelling games. They will also have the magnetic toy cars to use during their brain breaks. Thank you again, this will have such a positive impact on on my students.”

  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Dec 6, 2016

When my students saw all the boxes full of "surprises" for them they all got very excited. They were in such disbelief that all of those art supplies and fun items were meant for them. They were ecstatic to have a rainbow options when choosing their white board markers and highlighters. Another item that has significantly impacted my students are the fidget toys, instead of distracting others they are now able to focus a bit easier by keeping their hands busy with their new toy. It is really helping them stay on task, thank you for these lovely donations.

We have art materials! Now that we have color pencils, crayons, and fun colored paper we are able to add more art activities to our classroom. Whether it be coloring a diagram for a plants life cycle, making Valentine's Day wreaths or using the paper to create a Dr. Seuss paper quilt my students love it all!

As you may have heard in some elementary schools Dr. Seuss's birthday is greatly celebrated in the month of March. This year in my classroom, not only are my students getting to read his books but they will also receive a token to commemorate him and his fun characters. Using the prize system I have set up in my classroom my student will get to earn Dr. Seuss pencils and erasers all month long. I really appreciate your acts of kindness in donating to my classroom and helping change the lives of my third graders, we truly appreciate everything.”

In my classroom we use class money as a reward system for students to stay motivated, they earn class money by completing homework, classwork, and by keeping up with any other responsibility the student may have. The money that my students earn can be spent at the student store run by me. At this student store they are able to purchase passes to use centers (ex. Art Center) as well as pencils, erasers, other school supplies that their parents may not be able to provide. My students love getting rewarded school supplies. All prizes are earned by demonstrating their hard work whether it is getting things done, following along during lessons or simply showing kindness in our community. By using this prize system in my classroom I am able to help motivate my students as well as provide them with school supplies their parents were not able too. All of this while learning the value of hard work because they see the students who work hard are then paid more for completing all assignments which allows them to buy more at the store. My students get fueled up by little things that may not seem like much to others but really mean the world to them.
