A, B, C- Let's Learn to Read!
Funded Feb 17, 2022Oh my goodness! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We just received our reading supplies and already they are being put to good use! These tools have given us many fun ways to practice our early reading skills including identifying upper and lowercase letters, letter sounds and practicing our reading skills for the high frequency words that we come across frequently in our reading. My goal is to help my amazing kids become lovers of letters, words and reading! Thank you for providing us some amazing tools to help us shine!”

We have practiced the sounds for each letter, have traced them in the amazing wooden blocks your provided and are having the best time practicing our spelling words with the dough stampers in play dough! Gosh- the learning has been amazing! Thank you for believing in my students and in their learning!!!”

Learning Through All 5 Senses!
Funded Aug 21, 2021Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wow! The learning experiences that these materials have brought to my amazing students have been marvelous to see! We have learned so much and the art opportunities these materials offered, helped to cement our learning! Plus, our classroom and hallways look amazingly bright and cheerful!
My students have learned about themselves and the world around them because of these new tools! We have explored our emotions with watercolors, we have painted hot chocolate cups to remind us of a calm down tool (smell the hot chocolate and then blow out to cool the hot chocolate down). We have painted the things we are thankful for and explored sensory materials that help our brains to calm. Thank you for these amazing tools. The learning opportunities they have offered have been tremendous!”

Books Supporting Mental Health for Amazing Kids!
Funded Jun 5, 2021Thank you, thank you, thank you! We have had quite the challenging few school years recently- and the importance of social-emotional learning has never been more apparent. Thank you so much for helping me to support the mental well-being of all of my students. It has been such a wonderful opportunity for my students to not only hear stories about emotions and self-regulation but also to get to have copies of their favorite books centering positive mental health skills, to read at home.
I have heard from many of my students' caregivers that they have revisited these stories at home, and that these stories have helped to support my students and their families through emotionally challenging times. Thank you for helping to provide this support to our amazing learning community.”

Funded May 23, 2021Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wow! What a time to teach amazing learners! Flexibility has become the name of the game in schools across the country, and it has been the same for my wonderful students. Thanks to you- we didn't have to stop our learning at all- even though we were learning from home due to Covid-19. All of my students were able to receive an individualized social-emotional learning backpack- full of the supplies they needed to create self-regulation tools at home.
The peace bottles (bottles full of a mixture of corn syrup, water and glitter) were big hits with all of my students and we loved shaking them up- making the glitter dance and swirl- and taking deep belly breaths as we watched the glitter settle to the bottom. We also made some beautiful butterflies that reminded us of our butterfly hugs that we can give ourselves to calm our bodies when we are mad or sad.
Thank you for helping me to be creative with our learning, ensuring that all of my amazing kids, kept learning and growing- despite these challenging times!”

Funded Mar 16, 2021Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your support for my amazing students has meant the world- even more so in the very different world we are living in over the past eighteen months. Social-emotional learning and a love for learning has always been important, but is arguably even more important now.
The books that you provided to my amazing kids have been the foundation for so much of our learning. We have explored our emotions and learned ways to help us believe in ourselves and in each other, and we have been able to do this learning together, all enjoying some amazing new stories (even if sometimes the only way we could be together was through a computer screen).
Thank you for giving us the tools we needed to learn new skills and do it while forming friendships- in-person and through the magic of technology.
Thank you!”

Funded Dec 19, 2020Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This past year was one of the most challenging school years yet. One that required as much creativity we could muster, to ensure that my amazing kids were learning and growing in all the ways that they should, and then some. Despite the differences this past year brought and it's challenges, your support meant that fun, hands on learning opportunities- ones that build friendship and community- were possible.
Despite a million things that were different this year- my amazing kids still got to make tie dye shirts to celebrate the friendships they built this year, thanks to you! Wow! My kids are artists! Their shirts are beautiful and are representative of their sense of belonging they have cultivated this year! Thank you for believing in the importance of friendship for ALL kids!”

Funded Dec 2, 2020Books create readers, and readers change the world. With your help, my students, despite a school year unlike any other, have been able to read books together. My students have all fallen in love with reading this year and have loved to read their new books together, even those that started out as some of the most reluctant readers.
Thanks to you, each of my students received new books to read at home, since we have been learning apart due to Covid. We have read books together in small groups, big groups and even to younger students in our school (which was a great opportunity to grow leadership skills in my students with disabilities)! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Nov 17, 2020Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thanks to your support, lots of amazing children, have fallen in love with reading this school year! Nothing beats a real, actual book in your hands, to delve into and enjoy- and enjoy they have! Thanks to your help, I was able to deliver brand new books on topics that my students are interested in, to each of my children, while they are learning from home. We have been able to read these books together, and learn as we grow our reading skills, even though my students have been learning primarily from home this school year.
Thank you for believing in the power of reading, even during a school year, very different than any other. Thank you!”

Peaceful Places to Find Calm at School!
Funded Feb 18, 2021Thank you so much for your support! This year has been like no other year before- and more than any other time, my students are in need of peace and calm at school. Your support has meant that my amazing students have access to the self-regulation tools and calm spaces while learning at school. There has been so much change lately- we are back to in-person learning for the first time in a year, and for some of my special learners- this has been quite a change. I cannot begin to express the importance of these "peaceful" supplies in our return to in-person learning. Thank you so, so much for your support! It really does mean the world!”
