Sharp Artists
Funded Mar 29, 2017My students love visual arts! We try our best to include some kind of art work in our daily routine. Sometimes, it gets difficult for me when students want to use markers to have vibrant colors in their artwork and I have to say, No to them. It helps to have an ample amount of markers to share as a class and can use for any kind of artwork, not just special projects!
Having a sharpened pencil is class is a must! I can't tell you how much tie we have wasted in trying to get our pencils sharpened because our electrical sharpener doesn't really work well. I am so happy that we are going to have a one very nice and functional pencil sharpener in our own classroom.
Thank you so much for your kindness!”

Funded Jan 30, 2012We are very lucky and blessed to have people who care and want to help us out! We appreciate all you have done to support our class. We have been using the document reader almost on daily basis. The students are mesmerized by it. It has made learning fun for them and has helped especially during math time. Students can now see the little paper of classwork projected largely on the board. This has made teaching math skills much easier and has ensured that when we do guided practice all students can see what's happening on the board. We appreciate and value all that you have done. ”

Funded Dec 19, 2011This is a small token of our appreciation for your generous donation to our classroom. The Big Book Center and the seat cushions that you donated to our classroom have helped my students tremendously. We have been using them daily! The Big Book Center has helped the students to be able to see the large story books that I read to them much more easily than before. It has also given a rest to my arms of constant holding of a large book and folding it halfway to make sure the students see all the pictures. This will keep the books in better shapes for the long run and helps the students pay better attention to what is being read to them. Finally, the cushions have really done magic in our class. During our centers time when students complete their work, they may go to the classroom library and read a book silently. I can honestly say that they look forward to that since we have received the colorful cushions.
Our school is facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, we may not have had the opportunity to have a Big Book Center or cushions. We are deeply touched by all of your support.”

Funded Oct 28, 2011This is a small token of our appreciation for your generous donation to our classroom. The LCD projector that you donated to our classroom has helped my students tremendously. We have used it in many different ways. We looked at the differences of types of maps (flat, globe, etc.) to learn about not just maps but also how places are related to each other by distance, direction, and size. During math lessons, we have been able to watch an interactive lesson explanations provided by the math program. It has been a true blessing to have a LCD projector in our class.
