  • Read-Alouds and Resources for All of Us

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, my students have been able to learn from the Magic TreeHouse Fact finders. These nonfiction books have helped us learn about the Rainforest. Students were able to meet in literature circles and read together about a topic that they are very much interested in. Then they were able to further research and learn more about not just one rain forest but many that are found all over the world. Many of the students made posters, painted rain forests on canvases, and wrote poetry on different species of the rain forest. We are so grateful to you!”

  • Laptop In Dire Need!

    Funded May 23, 2022

We have been blessed and lucky for all of your contributions. The students and I were so excited when we found out that our project was funded. For my current students, they did not get to enjoy the laptop much as it was already the end of the school year when it arrived. However, we did use it for testing their reading skills, which was so much more easier and accurate since the computer did not lag and students did not have to repeat the same test over and over. We were also able to use it to create a Virtual Open House for our families! I will be using this piece of technology over summer to better prepare myself for next school year's students! Thank you again for everything! I am so lucky to have met so many wonderful and caring families!”

  • Learning Financial Literacy with the Stock Market Game

    Funded Nov 14, 2018

Thank you so much for helping us fund a new Ipad. The students are going to be so excited over this! Using technology in the classroom has become a great resource to help us practice our math skills, research, comprehension, and more! Words can not express how thankful I am for your support!”

  • Help Bring Color Into Our Classroom!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

Since receiving our markers, we have been brightening up all our work! Every year, we try to publish our own classroom book published. In this book, each student gets to publish his/her page on a research topic. Each student has his/her illustration page as well. Theses markers have made their published book look so much better than they used to. We also get to use these markers for other special projects. We participate in an agricultural fair and need a lot of markers to make large banners for a booth. Your donations have greatly helped us! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Feeling Good When We Share Our Best Work

    Funded Nov 22, 2017

When my students saw our new resource, they were so excited about getting their work posted. Since we have received them, we have been able to make beautiful bulletin boards, post our work in the classroom, and display our learnings in a very colorful and bright way. In addition to all this, we were able to share with parents and other family members all the wonderful things we had been studying about during Open House. It has brighten our classroom and changed our classroom environment. Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Learning About the Tongva Native Americans - Part 2

    Funded Oct 18, 2017

Part of 3rd grade curriculum is to learn about Native Americans. More specifically, about the local tribes to where they reside. Many social studies texts only discuss Native American tribes in general. This book that you have helped fund, is more specific to California and local Native Americans. It will help the students understand about different tribes, their skills, and way of life. In addition, it will help look at differences of Native Americans who lived near valleys and oceans. We are very grateful to have this opportunity and be able to use and learn from "California's Indian Nations" book.”

  • IPad to Enhance Learning!

    Funded Mar 30, 2017

Nowadays, kids have to know how to use computers and Ipads in schools in order to be successful. Unfortunately, cursive writing has been replaced by typing. Before, we used to ask students to write their essays in cursive but now we ask them to type their essays as early as 3rd grade!

Having one more Ipad in our class has given the students an opportunity to be able to research topics that they are interested in and can gather information to help them write informative essays. They have enjoyed and benefited from the Ipad that you have helped fund. We greatly appreciate all your contributions and support to our class!”

  • Learning with Virtual Reality

    Funded Aug 24, 2017

It has been so exciting having virtual reality goggles in our classroom. It has changed the way we are learning! My students are being able to really walk across America using their virtual goggles as we continue to learn about United States landmarks. Since many of them have not traveled to places like New York, Arizona, Montana, etc. they have not yet seen U.S. landmarks. These goggles have helped them feel what it would be like to be at the Grand Canyon or look down from the Statue of Liberty. It has really expanded the horizon for them. So thank you for your support and for giving my students this opportunity!”

  • Physical Education Equipment Needed

    Funded Mar 30, 2017

My students have needed opportunities to practice their motor skills, coordination skills, and being able to work as a team in an organized game. Having soccer and badminton equipment has given my students a chance to get in a lot of physical exercise. Kids need mental breaks as all of us do in our daily lives. Knowing that we have soccer to look forward to during the day, has brought so many smiles on my students' faces. We appreciate all the support you have given us. Thank for for considering us and helping us fund our project!”

  • iPad to Research for the Science Agricultural Fair

    Funded Feb 28, 2017

We live in times where technology is used in every day of our lives. More and more students are required to know how to use technology like iPADs to do research on, learn typing both on a touch pad and a keyboard, and yes, even take tests on! Even when kids have access to technology at home, they don't necessarily have these skills.

Having an iPAD in our own class, gives me the time as their teacher to help them learn how to research, type, and prepare for tests. Now that we can use the iPAD you have provided, my students have already researched topics like what is agriculture, how does drought affect us now and later, what is photosynthesis, etc. We have also began practicing typing on free websites! In addition to these, some students have been taking the iPAD home to continue research and be able to participate in the agricultural fair. Students love having this technology in class where they can use it to locate information about topics that we are learning in class. Some of the kids have gotten into Google Maps and they are mesmerized with the information that they can learn from this site!

We thank you for your generosity and kindness!”

    With gratitude,
