Most of these materials I have to purchase using my personal money every Quarter. Parents aren't able to purchase these materials.
We need supplies such as staplers and staples that will allow me to together packets for them. We need a label maker that will allow me to label the work they need in the folders. Most of the students prefer work independent, which helps me too because I can have up to four different preps in one class. The cleaning supplies will help us keep the classroom clean and smelling fresh. Sometime send boxes of tissue home with the students when they are sick.
These supplies will help the flow of the classroom go better as well I'm able to focus on other needs of the classroom. I want my students to be able to have the same chances that they would get at a regular school. They feel that since its an Alternative setting, they not having what they need is fine because its not a "real school", that's not true. When they return to their home school they need to be on the same pace so they wont fall behind.
