  • Seeing A New World

    Funded May 7, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of the LED microscopes to our high school science program. Your support has truly made a significant impact on our students' learning experience.

The new LCD microscopes have been a game-changer in our classrooms. The clarity and brightness they provide are unparalleled, allowing students to observe details that were previously difficult to see. This has sparked a newfound enthusiasm for microscopy and science as a whole.

What excites our students the most is the enhanced image quality and the ability to observe specimens with such precision. They're particularly thrilled about the ease of use and the bright, clear images that bring their observations to life.

We've noticed that some of our students, especially those who previously struggled with the limitations of older equipment, have shown remarkable engagement and interest.

Thank you once again for making this possible. Your generosity is fostering a deeper passion for science and exploration in our students, and for that, we are immensely grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gorczynski

With the new filtration system, students were able to ensure that their fish and plants were properly cared for during the school year. The students researched filtration systems and the nitrogen cycle and were able to directly apply that research with their project. The filters were vital in their design project to create a natural aquatic environment for our tanks. The entire project would not have been possible without your generous donation. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gorczynski

Jacques Cousteau was once quoted as saying, " The sea, the great unifier, is man's only hope." In this science class, we have build a strong community around our shared love of the ocean and our wish to conserve local resources. My high school students are curious and passionate about our neighboring marine landscape. They have elected to enroll in an additional science course centered around the principles of ocean literacy so that they may develop a deeper understanding of the watery world. My students are thoughtful, kind, and enjoy sharing their learning with their peers. Their love for the ocean and compassion for its inhabitants have inspired me to create a laboratory experience that builds on their curiosity and engages them in the scientific process.
