On and Poppin!
Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you soo much for the goodies for my kiddos! The popper bracelets are a hot commodity at the school store. The kids are racing to earn "cash" to be able to get one from the school store. We use the white boards every day for writing and word learning. They love to tell me stories and draw them out afterward on the boards. The hair accessories are also a hot product to earn from the school store. The goodies in the school store are a good way to motivate the kiddos to try harder at acing all of their assignments.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you soo much for helping me supply my school's school store. I just finished setting it up and showed a few of the kiddos the goodies they could earn and boy were they excited. I wanted to fill the store full of things that I knew they would want to work for so I did a survey of their favorite things. They love unicons, Minecraft, video games, emoji's and things that smell, lol. I can't wait to print up the cash for the store so they can earn away. I also got my kiddos cool pencil erasers for class just as a good job reward. Thanks again for helping show my kiddos that they matter.”

Funded Aug 4, 2021Thank you soo much for helping me give my kiddos school supplies bags to start the year off right! They were so grateful to receive the colorful bags, erasers, pencils and crayons. Sometimes I walk into the classroom and they will be sitting there without a pencil. I like the fact that I know that they have the supplies that they need and I can just say "Where's your bag?" and they go right to it get their pencil and get to work. If they used up their materials I always carry extra pencils with me so they will never be without. Thank you so much for letting my kids not be without.”

Funded Aug 31, 2020Thank you guys so much for the sneeze guard! You have no idea how "safer" that makes my students and I in school. I teacher Special Education and have to sit close to my kiddos so this really helps with small group testing and one one one. We use the supplies (pencils, white boards and erases) every day. This allowed me to make individual supplies bags for my students so we don't have to share germs. The kids really enjoyed getting to have their own. Thanks again for helping my kiddos start the year a little safer and with the supplies they needed.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020This project has allowed me to give my students some of the basic supplies that they are at most times unable to get at home. My district started teaching via online. The materials for the project were shipped to my home and as the bulk of them came I started making my kiddos supplies bags. During the beginning of my online sessions I showed the students all of the cool supplies that they would be getting to use at home and at school for FREE! The free part made them really excited. They really liked the mechanical pencils, erasers and sharpeners. Thank you for allowing me to put a an extra smile on my kiddos faces.”

Funded Oct 17, 2018Thank you so much for the Cardinal Store tangible incentives and I-Pad for artist exploration. Just this morning the kiddos came into the school store to use their cash and said, "WOW! You have a lot of stuff to pick from!" Which is a great thing because now some of our behavior students are trying harder to follow directions and finish their work to earn Cardinal Cash to be able to purchase the things they want from the Cardinal Store. They earn rewards and tell/show their friends what they bought and then BAM! it's like a chain reaction and the whole class is working harder to earn the cool incentives...thanks to you guys! I hope we can keep the store stocked and rolling for years to come. We use the I-Pad in my Abrakadoodle Art Club to explore artists. The kids think it's cool to be able to search the artist and check out all of the other artworks that they have created. This is the first year that our school has had a school wide incentive program and it's working! Thank you again for giving our kiddos a little motivation push. We couldn't have done it without you!”

Funded Nov 10, 2017Thank you soooo much for the games! With the Monopoly Jr. and Monopoly games I was able to start a Monopoly Monday Club at my school. The kids love it. I knew they would be excited but to hear the kids say,"I LOVE this game! This is FUN!" was the best. I am also using the Scrabble Jr. Games for my Word Wednesday Club. Nothing like giving the club a fresh new look with fresh new games.
I have a morning game group in the works where me and the kiddos have a talk session and then they rotate out to games. The kids and teachers are very eager to start this because a lot of our babies need and want to be heard. Without you guys none of these three clubs would be able to happen. YOU ROCK!! Thanks for being a "STAPLE" in our kids education.”

Reading to Understand and Understanding to Read
Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you so much for the tablets, conversation game, rhyming game and reading trackers. My kiddos use the tablets to have their assignments read to them. My students are happier and more self sufficient when it comes to doing classwork now. After they finish their work they use the tablets as a reward game time for working so hard.
The Conversation Starter game is great for my Word Wednesday Club to get the kids thinking about details about their week. I will also use this game for my upcoming SAP (talk group) club after the holidays.
The kiddos really enjoyed their reading trackers. They liked how tit helped them stay on track with their reading without using their finger. In all everything helped my kids a lot. Surprisingly their favorite thing was the rhyming game. The little houses were too cute. The kids wanted to "battle" to get to see who could play it. Luckily we worked out a rotating system so everyone could play it. Thanks again for letting my kids help themselves by using the tablets during learning time. You really made the difference :)”

Winning the Race on the Track and in the Classroom!
Funded Sep 2, 2016Thank you so much for the Fitbits. Because of you we have started a running club at my school that meets once a week on Wednesday. Every Wednesday myself and two other teachers run, walk, dance and play get up and move games with the kids. Before the club starts we disperse the Fitbits out to the kids and at the end of the club we check and see who has the most steps and they get a HOOORAHH!! from their friends. I have some students that are able to check the Fitbits out in the morning and return them to me at the end of the day to see who has the most steps. They really love being able to see how close they can get to me or sometimes even beating me in steps for the day. The kids love the Fitbits so much they have even put them on their Christmas list. Thank you for helping me keep my kiddos active and focused on their school work.”

Funded Oct 9, 2015Your donation has helped my students in various ways. Since I teach Special Education I have used the I-Pads as motivation to get some of my students on the right track. Having a fun educational game that I'm able to carry with me at all times comes in handy and offers motivation/reinforcement to any situation weather it be a learning task or a behavior. I also us the I-Pads with my students that are struggling with connecting the words to a picture. If we are working on a certain type of skill such as rhyming with a simple I-Pad tap I am able to show my students the picture to the word they are writing and saying instantly for all around connections.
We use the "stew" components of the grant everyday at least once every hour in the school day. I use the white boards for word learning, letter formation and to show my non spellers how to write small words or how to learn how to transfer quickly to keep up with the class. The magnetic letters, display trays and word building sets are used for daily phonics and word learning. I have also used the word building for spelling tests for my students in all grades. Some students need tactile learning. I could have a student not do so well on a test with pencil and paper and when they are given the magnetic letters they ace the test.
My students favorite part of the grant is the I-Pad/mini white board combo. They love being able to learn how to say the word, spell the word and then see the word come to life on the I-Pad. In all our Technology Stew was a yummy mixture of technology enriched word learning. Thank you so much!”
