My 3rd graders are a joy to teach. My students are kind, caring, and conscientious about their learning. In the morning, during read-aloud, my students engage in texts that lead to questions about writing styles or themes. During math, students try different ways of solving a math problem to find what works best for him/her. Students understand that each child learns differently and that is what makes us, as individuals, unique. With my gradual release of teaching, I know my third graders will become independent individuals that rise to any academic or social challenge. Watching my students succeed is why I teach.
