Color Printer for Engaging Activities
Funded Apr 29, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations. We appreciate everything you have given. Printers are so important in class. Without this resource, things could become a bit messier and not quite so structured. Printers have also advanced too and no longer are they just a device for you to print things from. You can use them for scanning, copying, printing out high quality photos and much more. We are able to creat visuals to help our students throughout the activity. We can not thank you enough for your generosity. You touched our hearts tremendously with your generosity!”

Funded Aug 9, 2022I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful donation to my classroom. My students have enjoyed the book shelf as much as I have. They love going to the library because there is a book of interest for each child that is organized. The students have enjoyed exploring the different characters and settings. My sweet students even took their learning to the next level by sorting our books into fiction and nonfiction. Learning has come to life for my sweet English language learners because of generous people like you.
The book shelf that was purchased for my classroom has helped our class library become organized. We are able to organize our books by different genres so the students are able to choose their books. By organizing the library like the students are able to find their favorite type of books which helps students want to read and continue reading.”

Synergize -Together Is Better
Funded Dec 1, 2021We received our donations and boy are they loving the literacy games! We want our children to feel empowered and having them use materials that are on their level is amazing! They are excited and eager to learn. We want children to have a voice-not everyone learns one way and if we can reach them in multiple ways then we are able to know the whole child.
Our students are using these games during their literacy block. We have a whole group reading lesson, then they take their reading strategy and apply it to their independent work and then have literacy centers. These centers are set up based on their needs. For me as their teacher, I know they are learning and getting what they need in a different way but for them they are playing, synergizing and really being proactive in their learning. They are using these games to take their weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
When our students saw these, they were excited and eager to play. They wanted to know more about the gifts. But honestly, we are all thankful. This last year and a half has been a crazy ride and we all want to make sure our students are happy, getting their needs met and safe. Thanks to you, we are able to!”

Funded Dec 19, 2018Teaching in an ICT, we have many disabilities and abilities in our class! We work to help our students learn the best that they can and with whatever helps them learn. We consistently are implementing brain breaks, interactive learning, and movement into our classroom to help keep our students' focus and attention alive, but they still need more! Students who have attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity issues especially struggle to stay focused throughout the whole day-especially during the most critical parts of the day. The wobble seats we requested helped many of our students, especially those with attention concerns, to maintain stamina and focus throughout the day.
The stools have been so beneficial in our classroom. We have many students with ADHD and these stools have helped them stay focused during whole group and independent work. Just a small amount of movement keeps them focused and will work their best. We have enough stools for half our class. The students are able to use a regular chair or a stool. We want them to become independent knowing how they learn best. This will help them in years to come.
Building students' confidence is a goal of ours. They need to learn how they learn and what learning styles are best for them. These stools will increase engagement, focus, motivation, and enjoyment of school. We have used stools, stadium chairs and bumpy seats in the past and have seen a minimal difference in students' attention. We have seen their engagement increase just by using these stools. These stools will be able to be used for many years and will help students see that we all need different things to help us learn best!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”

We are "WILD" About Reading
Funded Dec 23, 2016Having a listening library in our class has really inspired our students to read. The students are using the library is so helpful for them. The listening library introduces students to books above their reading level, introduce to new vocabulary as well as new genres and it teaches students to listen critically. It also teaches the students to read with fluency. In kindergarten, the students are just learning how to read and they read choppy and sound like robots but as they listen to more and more books on tape and us, teachers reading, their reading because more fluent and sounds more like having a conversation and it flows.
Using visuals are not only good for students with special needs but our English language learners and our general education students as well. Before they learn how to read words, students often read pictures and this is where they can build confidence.
Each and everyone of your donations have touched each and everyone' hearts in K-146. Words could never thank you enough how grateful we are!”

Oh, the Places you can go with a Good Book!
Funded Mar 13, 2016Having students choose books for their enjoyment was so difficult this year. The students were reading the same books over and over again and not many of them were on their levels. The students were becoming very frustrated and uninterested in reading. It broke our hearts to see the students giving up reading. Both my co-teacher and myself love to read, so we wanted to share our love with our students but it was way too hard.
Thanks to your generous donations, we have an amazing library now. The students are reading so fast just to get a new book. They have found different types of genres and series that they love. We hear so many discussions about the books which are amazing. They have formed little book clubs in our class! Sometimes, we have to say please stop reading, which is so crazy to hear!
I hope you realize how important each and everyone one of your donations are. You have opened a whole new world for our students and it is amazing to watch! We really appreciate what you have done for us! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
Best,
Ms. Geddes”

Help us become Book Worms!
Funded Apr 17, 2015Words can never describe how thankful we are for your generous donations. With these supplies our class is able to learn different social skills that are needed to be taught. During our informational genre, we used our autobiographies and informational text to help us research our topics. It was extremley helpful! The ink helps us provide visuals that our students need throughout the day such as check lists, task anyalsis, vocabulary cards, behavior cards etc...
Our students mean the world to us. In september, they not only become our students but they become our family. Their gains, strengths, weakness, and struggles. When they hurt, we hurt when they are excited we are. These students mean the world to us and we are lucky enough to be part of their lives.
Your donations help us, provide what they need to contnue making gains in their lives. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
