• Skills That Pay the Bills

  Skills that Pay the Bills was a massive success in my class! Thank you so much for the contributions you gave to my class. This has been a great tool to use with my career explorations class. We have used them for numerous projects from making cards for Mother's day to cutting out decals to put on cups for Teacher appreciation week. My students have had lots of fun using this to their benefit as well. This has gotten them excited to attend class and has become a great reward system for the students as well! Thank you for bringing fun to my class! This has mad the students more excited about Skills that will Pay their Bills.”

• Ms. Torres' Magical Magnetic

  Thank you so much for your kind donations. Ms.Torres' Magical Magnets went off with a bang. Magnetic Fields are a capstone in my curriculum. Though my school provides basic magnets, it was great fun to show them to my students to extend their learning and understanding of the subject. One of the hardest parts was trying to get them back! This has given my kids a wonderful experience with magnets and now they can further build on their curiosity. We hosted many experiments with these magnets but my favorite was the magnet races that we had to illustrate that it looks like when you repel 2 objects.”

• Ms. Torres' Captivating Chickens

  Funded Nov 20, 2020

  This was a phenomenal project for my kids to do. My students took care of the eggs before they even hatched. This taught them responsibility. Lots of the kids took pride in caring for the eggs and were so happy when 2 of them hatched (out of 12). My students loved caring for the 2 chicks and would clean after them and feed and water them. As they grew bigger the school decided to raise funds for a chicken coupe to house them out for the classroom. The students decided to name them Isaiah and Andrea. The 2 are best friends.

• Ms. Torres' Table Top Expedition

  Thank you for your contribution to my class. My pencil and utensil caddies make my life so much easier. I use them every day. I have started storing pencils, sticky notes, note cards, white board markers and more. My favorite part is that each Caddy has the team name on it, and all my caddies are named after different scientists of color to show my students diversity.

  The dry erase boards are also a big help in my class. my students love utilizing this for rapid fire responses and for our warm ups.

• Ms. Torres' Marvelous Mini Ecosystem

  Thank you so much for your contribution to my class! In my Marvelous Mini ecosystem my students have been able to explore worlds unknown. Can you believe most of my students have never left town? My students love peeking into the glass to see a different sight other than the concrete jungle of Las Vegas.

  We have established class jobs of watering these wonderful plants, and the best part, feeding them! My students fight for the chance to release the flies into the terrarium. I have never seen so many of my students so excited about science!!”
