Thank you so much for your support and believing in our classroom! The students will really benefit from all of the STEM games and manipulatives . They love to count and play and now will have the opportunity to do it over and over again with fun and engaging materials. We are eager for their arrival and we can't wait to start using them. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively. Thank you for your contribution and making the world a better place!”

  • UTK Students Need A Clean Carpet For Whole Group Activities

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

Thank you very much for selecting to donate to our classroom. Thank you for recognizing the importance of supporting Early Education. As I mentioned in my project essay, a carpet is an essential tool in a preschool classroom because it is the center point of our classroom. We gather on the carpet for all of our whole group activities such as morning songs, calendar, music, and so on.

Now that we have a new carpet thanks to your generosity, seating on a clean, beautiful carpet is such a pleasant activity. My students get so excited and quickly come to the carpet and participate instead of wasting time looking for a clean spot as they used to with the old carpet.

Once again thank you very much for supporting our young scholars, our future. We greatly appreciate your support and will continue working diligently to make donors like you who support public education proud of choosing to invest in Early Education.”

Thank you very much for your generosity!! I am in complete disbelief at this moment. My students were at Back to School Night when we found out our project got funded, and we all got so happy. Thank you for choosing to donate to our classroom. Your donation will positively impact the lives of our smart, enthusiastic, young scholars who come to school with a big smile and ready to learn. Thank you for choosing to invest in my students, OUR FUTURE!”

  • Keep Your Mask On to Keep Learning

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

Thank you for your generosity and selecting to donate to my classroom. Having masks readily available during this horrible pandemic really made a positive difference in my classroom. My young scholars love the physical contact and close proximity when interacting and learning. The masks made learning possible for my students because they were able to interact and learn while protecting each other. The masks also increased my students' attendance rate and as a result their learning was maximized because they were in school, and not sick at home! Once again thank you for choosing to invest in my classroom, OUR future.”

  • Let's Keep Cleaning and Learning!

    Funded Feb 3, 2022

Thank you for selecting my class for your generous contribution. We were able to keep our room clean and sanitized. With a sanitized and clean room, we were able to stay healthier and come to school everyday. As our attendance improved, we learned more and got super ready for kindergarten. Your generosity positively influenced the lives of 24 scholars who were able to have an amazing first year experience in school. They came to school everyday instead of staying home because they were sick and as a result maximized their learning thanks to your generosity!”

  • Setting the Foundation For Financial Literacy

    Funded Sep 18, 2020

Thank you very much for your generous contribution. My students were so excited to take off on their learning journal to financial literacy. Your donation has helped to solidify my students' financial literacy foundational skills. The math manipulatives have helped increased my preschoolers' natural curiosity for numbers. They use the tens frames and counters to develop cardinality, one to one correspondence, and basic addition/subtraction to 10. They use the blocks to count and make patterns. These materials also help my students understand and practice basic addition and subtraction number sentences by first "building" the number sentence with magnetic numbers and then writing the sentence on their write/wipe boards. There is no limit to the mathematical skills that can be acquired when they are motivated to learn, and with these resources my students are beyond excited about learning basic number concepts.”

  • Books and Art Supplies to Express Our Emotions

    Funded May 27, 2021

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely THANK YOU for your extreme generosity. My students were beyond excited when we received the wonderful books and art supplies.

The Pandemic affected us all in so many different aspects. For my young scholars, however, it is especially difficult because they experience so many feelings and emotions, but they do not know how to express them.

We have been using the books to learn and explore different feelings in whole group activities. In small group, we draw using the art supplies to express and label our different feelings. As we read these books and draw with the art supplies, my students have been expressing their feelings, strengthening their resiliency skills while learning to self regulate.

Once again thank you for these amazing resources. Thank you for providing an avenue for my students to label and express their feelings, and for helping us get the tools to strengthen our mental health and well-being during these difficult times.

Thank you for choosing to invest in my class, my students, our future!!!”

  • If You Can Hear, You Can Learn!

    Funded Feb 12, 2021

The Pandemic definitely presented a lot of challenges for both teachers and students.

My students were severely impacted as their homes became their classroom. Most of my students did not have the necessary resources to learn at home, especially when it came to technology.

Thanks to your generosity my students were able to get their very own head set to facilitate the learning process at home. As they used their headphone set, the background noise was greatly reduces, allowing my students to focus on the lesson and increase the learning possibilities.

Thank you for your generosity and for making these unprecedented times a bit easier to navigate and increase the learning opportunities for my students.”

  • Learning Is More "A-peel-ing" with an Apple Pencil

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you for your generous donation. My students are the youngest scholars in my school. At four years old they need a lot of manipulatives and hands on materials for learning to take place in a meaningful and engaging way.

Due to the Pandemic we teachers and students have been forced to get creative and use innovative tools to keep students engaged in present and online learning. Thanks to your generosity, we received an apple pencil which I use in conjunction with other technology in the classroom to model proper pencil grip and proper letter formation.

I also use the apple pencil to keep my students engaged during whole group instruction as we color or circle different items on the screen.

The ink we received is also a priceless resource that we use in the classroom to create and print online resources for my students to do at home or use in small group centers.

Once again thank you for choosing to invest in my class, my students, our future!”

  • Making Learning Fun Part 2

    Funded May 6, 2021

I would like to take the time to SINCERELY thank YOU for choosing to invest in my classroom. My students have been affected very hard due to the Pandemic and these resources will help them learn while playing, making these times a bit less stressful. My students are the youngest scholars in my school. At four years old they need manipulatives and engaging resources to help them learn.

For most of my students my classroom is their first school experience, and most of them are English Language Learners. I want to make their learning journey fun and engaging while teaching them solid foundational skills. These resources allow me to accomplish that goal. The magnetic letters kit is a great tool to teach my students literacy skills such as letter names and letter sounds. We use these letters at centers for the students to "make words" and spell each others' names.

The journals are a great tool for children to practice reading and writing skills such as left to right reading/writing correspondence and letter formation. My students write in their journal daily to express how they are feeling and to respond to literacy/stories we have read in class. The journals are also a great tool to track a student's growth as they progress throughout the school year.”
