My students are, number one, FANTASTIC! They are poor, mostly Latino students living in the heart of a downtrodden part of town. I am at a new school this year that is in a school that has traditionally had a pretty dismal culture as well as low numbers of graduates. Our mission is to engage students by providing them with month-long college and career intensive programming that will help them understand what it looks and feels like to be in a professional environment. Through these programs, students will begin to create maps to their dream careers, and by doing so generate hope for a better future. I am teaching three different courses all in the BioScience field and hope that I am able to inspire many future inventors, doctors, and environmental pioneers. Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot to both myself and my students!
