A student driven science room extends beyond the curriculum. Flexible seating will also allow my students to have a voice in their learning environment by allowing them to choose the right seating for them. By owning their seating choices, they will be more invested in their work. My science scholars need flexible seating to help them focus their attention on investigations and instruction instead of sitting in uncomfortable chairs. My scientists are more focused when they are comfortable. By sitting on wobble stools, balance cushions, and using bouncy chair bands, students will be able to choose the best seating for their bodies. These items will allow scholars to spread out around the room when working in small groups and provide them the opportunity to work independently when necessary.
