Basic Supplies for Successful Learning!
Funded Mar 6, 2018I am so grateful that you have funded my project Basic Supplies for Successful Learning. Having the basic materials like paper, pencils, a sharpener, Expo markers, scissors, erasers, tape, and glue sticks can make all the difference to a student's daily experience and learning possibilities. Many of my students come to class hungry and without a pencil. These materials will be housed in our supply center for all to use. We'll be able to have more colorful presentations and projects, too!
Now, I'll be able to give them what they need to learn, achieve, and succeed.”

Thank you very much for the gift of this wonderful Listening Center for my classroom students. I have students that are very challenged when it comes to reading and comprehension. They are even hesitant to write responses to what they are able to read. I have been using the Listening Center during guided reading time. I see a measurable improvement in how they approach any reading assignment. They have more confidence and are able to decode words for better understanding. Because I have them to respond to the stories by writing the answers they are cultivating more confidence in themselves and what they are doing. I am very pleased with their progress. Yea! for the powers of the Listening Center!
When my students first set their eyes upon the system, they were confused. However, when I revealed the headphones and explained what they were for, everyone was shouting that they wanted to be one of the first the use them. Those students that get to use the system during guided reading feel that it all belongs only to them. They are excited about their center and what it helps them to achieve.
I would love for all of my students to have the opportunity to experience learning through the listening center at one time. I have decided that groups of students will be chosen to use the center by exhibiting good school behavior, doing their best with their work, etc. This center will open so many new opportunities for learning. Thank you for you dedication in helping students enjoy the learning process.”

iPad So iCan Learn!
Funded Jul 29, 2016I cannot tell you how exciting it is to have our own classroom iPad! Already we are using it for science, social studies, reading and math learning centers. My children all learn in different ways and having a tablet allows me to strongly differentiate each lesson. This ensures that ALL my students are reached, challenged and academically move up. And, technology is a powerful motivator for good behavior and positive reinforcement.

Exciting Reading With Exciting Books!

Thank you for your generous contribution to my student's learning experience. We are so excited about our fantastic and exciting National Geographic books. The students were very anxious to begin reading, as you can see from the photos. Actually, I wanted to sit and read myself. The pictures alone in these books will give great information which will allow the students to be informative and accurate in responding to life on earth.
As we opened the large boxes that you sent, the students could not help but OOH and AAH about the beautifully colorful books that lay inside. They were ready in an instant to look through the books and see what was in store for them.
I can already see great nonfiction animal projects for my students to continue with their learning process. I can see that my students will be wanting to use these books for their free reading time. I can see great opportunities for learning by questioning and discussion about these reading materials.
Again, thank you for making so many students smile and look forward to a bright academic learning year.”

Butterfly Garden For 3rd Graders

Thank you for your generous contribution to my student's learning experiences. We are so excited about our wonderful supplies. The students were very anxious to begin using the things that were given to them. We have started to put our supplies to use by creating and mailing out Thank You cards to you our Donor. We will not be able to spread our BUTTERFLY wings until the weather is warmer. However, the box is in constant sight giving us something to look forward to!
As we opened the boxes that you sent, the students could not help but allow their mouths to drop from the sight of the material that you have sent. They at once wanted to search, touch, and experience everything. It was like Christmas in September.
The next steps for my classroom is to continue creating great learning centers for my students to continue with their learning process. The more innovative learning centers that are available to them gives them a choice and voice while also enhancing the connection and application of concepts in their studies.

Easel For Easy Learning!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you so much for funding my Easel For Easy Learning! The materials in this project are so important for me to effectively teach basic reading and language skills. The Magnetic Write & Wipe Board will be housed in my teacher's small group learning station where I can work with students on their learning goals and conduct remedial tutoring. The Reading Comprehension Activity stations will be set up as learning centers for students to target skills to build and reinforce. The Grading Calculator is to help me score assessments. The laminating sheets will be used for keeping materials safe and sound.

iPad For Kindergarten Achievers!
Funded Aug 1, 2014Thank you for your contribution of an iPad and cover to our class. This iPad is such a wonderful source of connection to learning games and research for our kindergarten class. They seem to love the tablet more than working with desktop computers. They are very aware of how to access information and connect to their sites.
It is also wonderful for small group learning and individual learning sessions with the students. Every time that they get to work with the tablet they are super charged and engaged in their current lessons.
