  • Hola! Yo Quiero Aprender Espanol!

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Thank you so very much for supporting this great project. My students are going to enjoy being able to converse with their teacher in their native language so much. My subscription to Baselang has left me feeling energized and focused on this goal.

We are really looking forward to continuing this school year in the most positive way possible. Our students and staff experienced a difficult school year last year due to teacher shortages and learning loss from the pandemic. Creating a classroom environment that is positive, supportive, respectful, and engaging is tantamount to a successful spring. We couldn't do it without the support of the Donorschoose community.

Please consider our class for the future. Right now we are requesting some technology and support for our outdoor learning efforts in our live projects. The most important project posted is for a VR headset will help support our growing technology needs. Our future project requests include items like printers for our STEAM club, larger hydroponic gardens, mindfulness items, and basic needs like notebooks. We are so grateful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

  • Basic Writing Supplies for Class

Thank you so much for providing our students with a restock of basic classroom cleanliness needs. Our freshmen who struggle to meet these essential needs will now have much needed relief.

These kids need people like you and we are so grateful for Donorschoose and for all that you contribute. Our class effort to provide for our students is ongoing. We know that without this website, we wouldn't be able to do so much for our kids.

Right now, we have a few live projects that we are hoping to see come to life. The most important one is our request for a VR headset to help our classroom meet its growing technological needs. My students work diligently to create a more sustainable environment within our high school. Using a program called Eco-School, we perform rigorous sustainability audits of our school. To combat the issues we find, my Eco-School kids will grow hydroponic produce in class to support healthy lifestyles and more eco-friendly habits. They will use rainwater collection systems to purify their water. They will compost, create healthy eating initiatives, learn outdoors, and much, much more. To do this, we use a Project-Based learning teaching method. They develop leadership and public speaking skills, explore their ecological footprints, and drive their own learning. Their knowledge of their personal environmental impact has increased substantially. Supporting our classroom supports a fully student-led, student-driven environmental goal that will help to foster future generations of environmentally conscious citizens.
