Technology: a Tool to Help Us Work Together
Funded Sep 18, 2024I cannot thank you enough for supporting my classroom. This laptop has brought new resources into the classroom that we did not have access before. For example, I can now show videos and/or images to my students that align to the topics/units we are exploring. For example, during our clothing study we had a "Fancy Nancy" dress up day and fashion show. I was able to use this laptop to show the students videos of a children's fashion show highlighting how models walk down a runway.
Another huge benefit of this laptop is being able to share pictures with families on our class Bloomz page. The families love being able to see what their children are experiencing in our classroom by seeing these pictures.

Funded Sep 15, 2022Thank you so much for donating to my project "Engineers at Work". As you can see from the picture the students were absolutely thrilled when the materials arrived from Lakeshore Learning. The rollercoaster kit and the create-a-path kit have been a huge hit already this year and are chosen frequently during choice time.
The Clifford magazines are delivered to our classroom bimonthly and cover a variety of topics including holidays, social studies, science, and math. Each issue comes with a large version for us to read together before the students go back to their table to reread and do the activity on the back. The students are able to take these magazines home to share with their families. We absolutely love having this as a resource in our classroom!
Thank you again for helping to purchase these materials and for supporting public education.”

Funded Mar 2, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations to my students and classroom. My students were absolutely thrilled to receive all these materials from Lakeshore Learning. They couldn't wait to open each of the boxes and use them right away.
As you can see from the pictures the students are already using the materials on a daily basis and have added so many new learning opportunities to our learning centers. The bingo games have provided additional practice for my students during small group time and "Winner, winner chicken dinner" often rings through the classroom when someone has bingo!
Thank you again for supporting our amazing learning community!”

Funded Feb 7, 2022Thank you so much for purchasing supplies for my classroom. My students were so excited to get so many boxes full of exciting new materials. We were able to put all of these materials to use right away in the various learning centers.
We were in desperate need of these new paint brushes and with the addition of the new brushes the students could add extra details in their paintings that would really make the color pop.
The water needs were such a big hit when they were introduced during our water unit. We were able to explore how the beads grew and would shrink based on the water evaporating. What an awesome way to see this happen!”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for helping purchase seat sacks for my class! The students were so excited to receive the box back in December. They were even more excited that each one of them would receive a seat sack for their chair!
These seat sacks have made a huge difference for my students. They are no longer waisting time digging through the supply boxes on a shelf since now all their supplies are housed right at their seat. The seat sacks have also helped keep the students organized by housing all of their supplies in one location rather than looking for supplies in various spots in the room.”

Funded Aug 14, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my project. I feel so blessed that friends and strangers alike continue to support my work with such amazing students and families.
Having the black and white polka dotted bulletin board paper has provided a vibrant backdrop to display student work and also bring life to sterile white walls. The curtain rods display homemade curtains that bring a sense of home to our classroom. This is one of the first things families, students, and visitors notice when coming into our classroom.
The organizer has tremendously help both myself and my assistant quickly find classroom materials to assist students. There is no longer a need to search for things when we now have this amazing tool to help keep us organized.
The large rolling cart housed a "We can Build" center with materials such as cubes, sticks, tape, pictures, and craft supplies where the students can try their hand at creating amazing structures.
Without your help, we would certainly not have access to these resources.
Thank you again for supporting my classroom and students.”

Funded Jan 14, 2019Thank you for donating to my project. Due to your generosity I was able to purchase manipulatives for our light table. In the pictures posted the students are using the 10 frames where they are exploring addition. They also are using these manipulatives to generate their own complex patterns. Having these tools makes learning so much more fun to 4 and 5 year olds. The students have also been utilizing the "messy mats" while working with playdoh. Having these mats allows the students the opportunity to have their own workspace to create. In the block center the students have been utilizing the blueprint mats to design what they are going to build with the blocks. The mats have been especially helpful for those students that like to plan exactly they are going to create. With the color ink we are able to print items such as the "cruise tickets" the students used to board our pretend ship to Hawaii. Recently we also created "licenses" and medals for our cardboard race day using the ink purchased.
Thank you again for supporting my amazing students and our classroom. I feel incredibly lucky that you chose this project to support.”

This Little Light of Mine: Light Table for Super Stars
Funded Dec 31, 2018Thank you again for your contribution towards our light table. From the first picture when the light table was turned on you can see their excitement. The light table continues to be one of the most popular activities in our class during center time every single day. The students have been hard at work sorting, making patterns, and telling number stories when using the tubs of manipulatives. During our current unit on light the students have been exploring how the different colors of lights can cause the manipulatives to also change their color.
Thank you again for supporting our class with your generous donation.”

Supplies for Super Stars
Funded May 8, 2018Thank you so much for providing so many resources for our classroom. The students were thrilled to open all the Amazon and Lakeshore boxes. They thought it was Christmas morning!
With your donation we were able to add dry erase markers to the writing center. This has been such a hit with the kids. They enjoy pretending that they too are a teacher by writing messages to their classmates and drawing pictures for them as well.
We were able to add scented markers for the art center. We our currently exploring our Five Senses for this month's theme so it is awesome to hear them talking about what they smell while also creating art. There have been quite lovely discussions about the amazing smells and how they remain on the paper for days to come.
The students love using the manipulatives to dramatize stories in the home living center and also as counters in the math center. The puzzles have added complexity to our puzzle center which before only held simple knob type puzzles.
These donations have brought new life to our centers and the students love to utilize them. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Funded Jan 17, 2018Thank you so much for helping to purchase the supplies we needed for our classroom. The students were so excited to receive the 2 boxes filled with supplies. As we pulled the supplies out of the boxes their faces filled with delight with each new item.
The dry erase markers are used everyday for writing our morning message. They have also been utilized in the writing center to write on the white boards. The student have been amazing about remembering to put the lids back on the markers too! After every meal in the class the students eagerly grab the small brooms and dustpans to help us keep our class neat and tidy. It has also been so helpful to have a larger broom to use to keep the room neat and clean. The cases for the laptops have been so helpful to keep our brand new MacBooks safe from accidental drops or bumps. It has been so many years since we've had a working printer and our new HP printer has been a huge asset by providing color copies to use for our units of study. Just today I was able to print out pictures that show actual plants we eat and whether we eat the root, stem, leaves, or flower from the plant.
Thank you again for supporting our amazing classroom and students. These materials will be used for many years to come!”
