Rocking Our Way to the Future
Funded Aug 23, 2014The students were overwhelmed with joy and excitement when they heard they would be receiving the materials for the classroom. They have worked really hard to help collaborate with me on things they would like to learn more about and use in the classroom.
The students use the Automblox for reverse engineering projects using Inventor and the 3D Printer. They are also using Sphero to learn to code and program for robotics class! The remote you got for our classroom helps the students give more effective presentations.
The students were able to see their hard work and dedication result in an amazing end result! Thanks to you and your support my students are able to follow their dreams and discover their abilities in a hands-on learning environment. Thank you so much!!!!
My goal as a teacher is to show my students the possibilities that await them and help them become effective problem solvers. Thanks to donors like you I am able to accomplish this. You have made an impact on so many lives and I can never thank you enough.”

Funded Aug 19, 2014The students were overwhelmed with joy and excitement when they heard they would be receiving the materials for the classroom. They have worked really hard to help collaborate with me on things they would like to learn more about and use in the classroom.
The students are able to showcase their work thanks to your help. They also now have chairs for ease of comfort while they are programming. We also are able to organize our classroom materials more effectively.

3D Printer Pens
Funded Jun 17, 2014The students love the 3D Printer Pens! They are coming up with really creative ways to use them in class. They started with making their names with the pens to become familiar with how they work. They are now using them to create prototypes of their drawings! They have helped students become more confident and proud of their work. By being able to create prototypes helps the students discover flaws in their design before they make their final project.

Dry Erase Tables
Funded May 30, 2014I wanted to thank you all once again for your generosity and support. We are in the process of redesigning our classroom to be more efficient for the students. We are trying to bring the classroom up to date and help students explore design ideas.
We used the materials to make our tables into dry erase tables. This has allowed students to explore their creativity. They draw up ideas on the tables for their projects. It helps students to communicate their ideas to others and make changes to their design without have to start over. They are also able to take notes while they are working without misplacing their papers.
Students are always drawing up design ideas and projects. With so many students we were going through so much paper. Since you are constantly making changes and re-designing we wanted to come up with a more effective way to communicate our ideas without wasting so much paper and being Eco-friendly. Your donations have had an impact on so many students and we are grateful for your support! We could not have done it with out you!”

Future Engineers in Need of a 3D Printer
Funded May 22, 2014I wanted to thank you all once again for your generosity and support. The students are so excited to have a 3D printer so they are able to print their projects they design. They are now in the process of helping me organize our classroom so that we have an engineering area where they will be able to utilize all the tools they need to design and engineer their projects. They want to set up the printer so that it is easy to access and see it in action!
Some of the projects they have already completed are a cube, innovating their own LEGO, playground, their names, and CO2 wheels. The family and consumer science teacher retired this year and one of the students designed and printed a sewing machine for her as a going away gift.
They are using a filament extruder to make their own plastic for the 3D printer. They
have begun designing buildings and parts for a city they are making for the Future City Competition. They come into class half hour early in the morning just so they can start working on their projects and print them!
Everyday they are coming up with new projects and I am so proud of them. Your donations have had an impact on so many students and we are grateful for your support! We could not”

Funded May 21, 2014I wanted to thank you all once again for your generosity and support. When the box arrived the students were eager to open it. They saw all of the parts for putting it together and were excited. The class putting the Filament Extruder together is 7th graders. I have let them run the project by themselves and wanted to see how it went. They have went above and beyond my expectations. They all started talking about how they were going to put it together. Two students were nominated to be the supervisors and they got right to work. One student said, "This is awesome I am doing stuff the high school students are doing!" I have only assisted in helping them find tools and a couple times they have asked me to clarify they had the right part. They also had to wire the extruder and they have been learning about electricity in circuits in class. They have done an amazing job and putting it together. You have helped them achieve success on so many levels while also helping them from start to finish all on their own. Your donations have had an impact on so many students and we are grateful for your support! ”

Funded May 13, 2014The students were overwhelmed with joy and excitement when they heard they would be receiving the materials for the classroom. They have worked really hard to help collaborate with me on things they would like to learn more about and use in the classroom.
The students are able to print out their portfolios for their projects and take them home to show their family and friends all their hard work they are doing in class. They are also able to make posters to showcase their projects throughout the school. They are able to continue learning to program and create games with the gaming system.
The students were able to see their hard work and dedication result in an amazing end result! Thanks to you and your support my students are able to follow their dreams and discover their abilities in a hands-on learning environment. Thank you so much!!!!”
