Privacy Is Key!
Funded Dec 27, 2021Thank you so much for all your donations. The students and teachers have been very happy with our privacy dividers.
Every time the students take test, they feel confident in taking test in private. We added resources to the dividers so that the students feel secure about taking their exams. We added math resources, phonemic resources, and reading resources. They love being able to get that extra boost of help right in front of them.
We are very thankful for this donation. Thank you from our little first graders!!”

BEAN BAG FUN!
Funded Dec 15, 2020Thank you so much for this amazing gift! as you could see from the pictures, it felt like Christmas in 1st grade again!
This really means a lot to us because these bean bag chairs make learning so much fun. It makes the students want to come to school. They can't stop telling their parents about their brand new bean bag chair.
The way I use the bean bag chairs is very simple. During the first 10-15 minutes of my lesson, the students will sit on the bean bag chairs. They will listen attentively to the lesson, therefore they will understand what they need to do. These chairs, minimizes the distractions, so the only thing they could do is listen.
Thank you so much for your generous gift to these amazing students.”

Learning Remotely Without Distractions!
Funded Sep 2, 2020You are amazing!! This has been one of the best items our class has received! This year has been challenging and there are many distractions that may cause my little ones to loose focus. However, this divider has been a life saver. We have a second teacher in the classroom that teaches the remote students. We share a room. So you could only imagine how noisy the room could get. Therefore, the other teacher would sit inside the cubicle and teach the remote students from in there.
My students are not distracted at all!
It is amazing!
Thank you so much!! It really means a lot in these tough times.”

Funded Aug 12, 2020Thank you so much for putting smiles on my students faces during these difficult times. With these portable seats, we were able to go outside and learn about shadows. My students were able to sit and have a sturdy base to write on, all at the same time. My students can not wait to sit on these seats. They love to call it their own. At time, they prefer to sit on these seats in the actual classroom, instead of their chairs.
Again, thank you much from the bottom of our little hearts!
Happy holidays!”

Funded Dec 10, 2019Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to go to the movie theaters and enjoy their day. They have never been to a theater in Manhattan, so this was their first time. The movie theater we attended also had reclining seats, which they were so excited about. They were able to lay down and enjoy the movie!
Taking students to the movie theaters, especially in Manhattan, is very expensive. Parents in our community are not able to spend so much money on the movies, therefore this trip was a blessing! An experience that my 6 year old students will never forget! Again, thank you so much!”

Funded Oct 15, 2019Thank you so much for your amazing donation! The students were stunned when they received the materials. The headphones, that were so generously donated to us, are extremely helpful in my classroom. The students need to complete online lessons on a program called I-ready. The program reads books to the students so that the students are practicing their reading. Now imagine 23 students trying to complete the lessons all at once without headphones. It was mass chaos! But thanks to you all, we have the quietest classroom every time they put on those headphones.
The students love when it's computer time because they each have a gallon size ziplock bag, where each students has their own headphones. They absolutely love it. They brag about the headphones to their friends in other classrooms. In this donation we also received dry erase markers with erasers and white board clipboards. When the students saw the markers and the clipboards, they screamed! Our clipboards are made out of wood and they hate it. So when they received the clipboards and markers, they were excited because they didn't need to share anymore. There was enough for every child.
With all the kindness in my heart, I would like to say thank you! Your donations really meant a lot to my 1st grade scholars!”
