Wobble While We Work
Funded Jan 23, 2022Class 191 cannot thank you enough for your generous donations that got us these awesome wobble stools. We use them everyday! While we are working they help us remain focused because we can wiggle around, without getting up out of our seats. They are also helping us sit up straighter and strengthening our core! We especially love sitting on them when we are at the kidney table and doing our writing.
When we first saw them- we were so excited. We all clapped and screamed, so happy to have something new, that was fun, AND would help us be better learners.
Although our school year will be ending in a little over a month- we still continue to learn new topics and skills. We will be learning adding and subtracting with double digits and regrouping, vowels teams and glued sounds, and light and sound. Our wobble stools will continue to help us, especially now that we have spring fever!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Emiliani
We Can Do It! (Our Independent Learning Center!)
Funded Dec 23, 2020Thank you so much for your donations that funded my project for 3 iPads. My Students were ecstatic to see and use them! Their confidence has soared in their ability to not only work independently but use technology that they otherwise would not have access to. Every time they type in their own password they let me know with such excitement in their voices. The simple act of logging in to their account- is amazing and uplifting for them. Along with this confidence boost, my students have shown growth in their ELA skills. Their letter sound knowledge has become more generalized, their reading comprehension has increased, as well as their fluency. This technology have become an integral part of our daily routine- as it allows my students to engage in meaningful activities while I am working with other groups of students. My students love to show me their progress, what they learned and what they earned on these programs. For this particular group of students who require so much support, it is uplifting to see them working independently and with success. Thank you is not enough for what your generous donation has done for us.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Emiliani
