  • Time For New, Safe Furniture

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our project back in December! It has been such a delight to unpack and set up the new furniture, making the space feel more organized, cleaner, and more accessible for the little ones! The clear bins make it easy for kids to find what they need, and all the shelves are stable and safe. The bookstand has been a great addition to the classroom! Kids are enjoying exploring books and browsing with their friends. I am so grateful that people like you make this possible, and that we are able to provide the kids of leaning environment that our kids deserve.”

  • Struggling Readers in the Upper Grades

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

Thank you SO much for helping us reach this goal! The materials were varied, and extremely useful! The sets of phonics books have been especially helpful as they reach a wide range of students and follow the perfect progression.

We have also really enjoyed building words, writing words for images, manipulating letters, and practicing phonics skills. As a member of a team of reading specialists, these materials have been shared and used widely, affecting the learning ans uccess of over 500 students!

Thank you so much for making this happen for us!”

  • Equitable Literacy Instruction for All

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

These books have been an INCREDIBLE addition ot the literacy team. They were EXACTLY what we needed. They are leveled exactly right and follow the perfect trajectory to support struggling readers. As a literacy team, we are finding them perfect for any students from age 6 to 10! The pacing is perfect, the images are modern and engaging, and kids are loving the feeling of being successful. I'm SO GRATEFUL to you for the part you played in bringing this project to life. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Little Writers

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

I can't even tell you how much these resources have meant to me as I work supporting early readers this year! They have been just the right tools for my students! They LOVE all the hands-on opportunities, and having all the ways to practice their learning. I have especially enjoyed the paint board for writing practice, and the tactile letters to provide sensory input as they practice letter formation.

It means so much to me personally, and to our school overall that people like you take time to help with projects like this. Thank you so very much, on my behealf, and that of my hundreds of students!”

  • Let's Make Learning Accessible

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Thank you so much for the contributions you made to my project to buy accessible materials for my classroom! I know it was a while ago, but I can safely say they have been an awesome addition to our classroom!

The caddy sits near my teaching area, and helps organize the books, curriculum guides and teaching materials I use every morning.

The trays with sand are an engaging tool to help students practice phonics and sight words. They CANNOT wait for their turn to use them!

The magnetic shelves house thematic books we are reading, and are a fun new way to display our books!

The locking boxes help me keep my choice time materials accessible for play and exploration time.

Thank you so much for your contribution to making this happen!”

  • Supplemental Resources Created by Educators

    Funded Dec 10, 2021

I'm so grateful that you chose my classroom for your support. I found some really wonderful resources to use with my students. I found great math packets to build fluency with simple equations, awesome visuals to help students learn reading strategies, and so much more! It is taking me some time to go through everything and make the necessary colored and laminated resources, so there is even more help in my future as I go through everything! I'm excited to keep using these tools, and to continue to uncover new resources that make teaching easier and learning more fun! Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!

    Have a wonderful day!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ellis

  • Broken Desktops--More iPads, Please!

    Funded Nov 9, 2015

We have had a few months now to enjoy your gift of ipads. I can't tell you how helpful it has been to have them! We use them every day. The kids play an excellent reading skills game called Lexia, they also do handwriting/tracing, and lots of other fun games that build kindergarten skills. They really enjoy using them. Because technology is such a way of life for the newer generations, education has to keep up. We need to both equip them with the traditional skills, but also to prepare them for an increasingly technological world in order to be successful. I really appreciate the support you have shown not only for my students, but for inner city public schools everywhere. There is so much work to be done, that teachers cannot do it without your support.

    Thank you all so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ellis

  • The Classroom Library of My Dreams

    Funded Feb 18, 2014

I wish you could see how clean and organized our library is now in person! No more dealing with baskets that fall or spill, or are too large for the shelf. Every book is in it's place, making it easy for students to browse the library and to find something that they would love reading. Every day the students explore the library, and browse the books, and it is much easier to do now than before. They are so excited to see what the next book has to offer. Thank you for making this possible for us, and for helping us enjoy reading that much more!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ellis

  • Blending Sounds and Building Words

    Funded Dec 18, 2013

These magnets have easily been one of the best additions to my classroom this year! The kids love building the words and writing them in their notebook. As the students pointed out, it is now so much easier to use than when I would have to tape the letters together. The magnets weren't strong enough and the letters would slide, not to mention that it took SO long to set up! These magnets are getting used every day, and it is a enter that I can count on for students to be highly engaged, and learning. Thank you so much for making that possible for us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ellis

Hi there! Thank you for checking out my projects! There is so much that I hope to do for my students, but most of it I cannot afford to do on my own. Thank you SO much for helping me educate my students!
