I teach in an urban district in a school where all students are required to take physics, a subject that is frequently limited to only a few students classified as "advanced". Every student who passes through the school passes through my class, and they bring hugely varied life experiences, educational preparation, and skills. Working with such a diverse population, and trying to provide experiences that will enable of all them to be as successful as possible proves to be challenging, yet also very exciting.
