Thank you so much for making this project come to life. My scholars and I are overwhelmed with joy and gratefulness. • First Watch Me! Now You Try!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

The technology is helping my students become innovative and creative. The students were able to create their own businesses and logos and use the technology to make their business come to life. What was most exciting about the new product for the students was opening the packages that the new product came in. They were also excited at seeing how it works and how they would be able to use it. Some students were absent when we first opened the product. When they came back to school those who were there were eager to show their peers how to work our new technology. Thank you so much for these wonderful resources. The students and I are extremely grateful.”

  • Motivated Learning From a Distance!

    Funded May 6, 2020

I would like to express sincere gratitude from my students and myself. They were extremely grateful and excited to receive their individualize package of snacks and educational resources. They were even more excited to have them hand delivered by their teachers.

My students have embraced the new norm of remote learning and have been excelling in all of their efforts. Students used the snacks they received in between live teaching sessions and at the end of the remote school day. Students used the journals, loose leaf paper and pencils to draft, revise and publish their own autobiographies. Students were ecstatic to become authors and illustrators of their own writing about themselves. Thank you so much for making our transition into remote learning successful.”

  • Computer Lab - Information Oasis!

    Funded Sep 6, 2019

Technology is a vital part of teaching and is used in various ways in the classroom. The smart board is used in the classroom to connect student learning to the twenty first century. Through teaching with technology and having students use technology in the class such as the computers they received they are able to make real life connections to what we are leaning in school and what is happening everyday.

Students use the computers we received during station/center learning. Students are in a group of 5 students working individually on a task assigned to him/her to help build their educational knowledge within the core subjects such as math and reading. The students are most excited about having more computers because we are able to have multiple students in the technology station/center at one time working on lessons assigned to help them .

All of the students are eager to work on these new computers and help new classmates learn how to use them. These students show others how we should take care of the new computers and how to put them away. Thank you so much for helping us add on to our technology center.”

  • Shhh! We Are Listening to Greatness!

    Funded Aug 18, 2019

The class was extremely thankful for the headphones we received and even more so that they have their own individual pair. In our class the headphones are used during center/station time where the class is working in smaller groups. Students are rotating between four stations one of which is technology. In this station they areusing their headphones and working independently at their computer to practice skills in math and/or literacy to build their knowledge or assist them in a skill they need additional help with.

The students are most excited about having their own pair of headphones. Routinely students would share headphones and clean it after every use to make sure it's ready for the next student. Students are still cleaning their headphones but it is only for them to use .

There are a few students who are get overly ecstatic when its station time and love to help set up for it. These particular students likes to set every students headphones out and also put them away. Thank you for allowing our students to enjoy their individual pair of headphones while learning.”

It is with great gratitude that the students , my co-teacher and myself would like to thank you all for your donations and kind hearts. The students were excited when we received our resources and couldn't to open the boxes. Every time we have culture hour on Friday's we use the snacks. Students are excited to sit with their friends, eat and talk about what we learned during that hour. Students also created projects with the resources. During this time students are also debating on whether they agree or disagree with what we learned and building communication skills. Students also use the resources to make sure our room is tidy and welcoming for all visitors.

The next step for students in our classroom is a project where they will be practice using their communicating skills in various situations. Thank you for supporting us !”

  • Student Center Based Learning!

    Funded Oct 19, 2018

It is with great joy that the students , my co-teacher and myself would like to thank you all for your donations and kind hearts. The students were excited when we received our materials and couldn't wait to tear open the boxes. Every time we get ready for center time the students get even more excited to use the resources then when they opened the boxes the first time. Students have been using these resources to help build their phonics and math skills during center time during both our literacy and math block. Students build, read, and write words they are trying to master. Students also use these resources to build mastery with numbers 0-20 , with word problems, equations and identifying unknown numbers.

The next step for students in our classroom is a project where they will be discussing healthy habits and making a poster on the best oral hygiene products. Thank you for supporting us !”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ebony
