• We Use Art To Inspire Change

  The eco-friendly glitter in this project inspired lots of conversation around the choices artists must make when selecting materials. Thanks to this project my students are deepening their understanding of just what artists can do to protect the earth through the messages in their art and the materials they use to create.

• Artists Preparing for a Glow Gallery

  I want to thank you for your donation to this project Your donation helped our artists have many wonderful experiences last spring exploring color and learning about what causes colors to glow in the dark. Oh the creativity that was unleashed thanks to your donation.

  Our artists used the fluorescent materials (paint, oil pastels, crayons and markers) to create such things as self-portraits, animal portraits and disco balls. It was really exciting for our artists to see their neon art glow in the darkened classroom under the black light. It was fun to see their excitement and to hear their ohh and ahhs.

  The new shelving and pegboards look awesome in our art room. The wire shelving replaced 2 book cases. Thanks to the wire shelving much more light is able to cone through the window and brighten our studio. The room looks awesome with the shelving and pegboards thanks to your donation.

• iPad Needed for the Drawing Center

  Thank you for your generous donation. Your donation allowed us to purchase a new iPad for our digital center. I'm happy to share that the iPad supports our students learning in engaging ways. The students use the iPad frequently to research topics and images related to their art making. Many of our language learners are creating beautiful works of art thanks to the translation support an iPad provides. I'm planning to update the iPad soon with apps and programs to help give our students new opportunities to practice their skills and create.

  This is long over due. I want to thank you for the generosity you showed to our students by donating to this project. The fluorescent paint and oil pastels that your donation helped us purchase infused our painting center with lots of excitement. The students had a good time using the fun new media. • Building Literacy And Our Imagination In The Art Room

  This is long over due but I would like to thank you for your generous donation. Your donation to this project helped us add many wonderful new picture books to the art room library. I have used many of the books for read alouds this year. I wish you could hear all the oohs and ahhh as the students see the beautiful pictures in the books. My students will often select the book in this project during their own reading time.
