My classroom this year is the science / social studies part of our 6th grade. There are approximately 65 6th graders in our small rural public school in Iowa. But we are not the usual small Iowa school district. Our school has high poverty along with a diverse population; over 62% of our district is Hispanic. We are more an urban district in a rural setting. Technology in our building is limited but we try to give our students opportunities to use it in each of our classrooms. We have one computer lab for all students in our building with 18 regular classrooms and at least 10 ESL, Special Ed, and Title One reading classrooms. Technology use can be limited because of the demand. The item I am hoping to gain support for is a document camera to use in my classroom. My students and I appreciate any help you can provide! Thank you!
