Funded Feb 14, 2025State testing was completed a few weeks ago, and we were able to schedule a time to tie-dye shirts with our class. I was able to pull small groups of students and guide them through, and for many, this was their first tie-dying experience!
To prepare for this day, I showed my students how to do the "spaghetti method" for their shirts. Each table group was given a fork, which, in turn, they each placed on the middle of their shirt, then twirled the fork, like one would do if you were trying to get long spaghetti onto your fork. After each shirt was twirled, students secured them with rubber bands, and we placed them in the Ziploc bags you provided.
Thanks to YOU, we had enough dye for our entire class, and we are so excited that we now have these fabulous shirts to wear during our year-end activities, including Field Day and our Fifth Grade Picnic to create a sense of unity as our school year draws to a close. A special thank you to Ruth Dalton for taking our project across the finish line. Thank you, again, to each of you for making this dream possible for our children—we are extremely grateful! 💕”
With gratitude,
Ms. Douglas
