  • Classroom Rug to Fit All!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

I truly can't thank you enough. Our classroom feels complete now. The rug has made such a huge impact in the classroom. There is enough room (plus some) to fit all 18 of my students. It provides a gathering space for our morning meeting and a shared space for read alouds. I feel so grateful for your generous donations to make this possible. With your donation I was also able to get a class set of watercolors for some future fun projects, a couple of thematic books that we have been waiting for spooky season to read. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dobbins

  • Books to Support Literacy Labs in a First Grade Classroom!

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

I am beyond grateful for your donation to help supply books for our literacy labs. The books that have been donated have made a huge impact on our classroom conversations. A wide variety of books about Tools and Work have taught my students more about what makes work easier. Students have learned about initiative, collaboration and perseverance though these mentor texts. Watching my students research and collaborate on a project encompassing the idea of habits of character and tools has been exciting. Their magnificent thing projects are all thanks to you!”

  • Classroom Supplies for a Great School Year!

    Funded May 26, 2022

The recourses that have been donated have had a huge impact on our classroom. Students have started this school year ready to go. All students have the same supplies, and are responsible for taking care of their belongings. My class has been that much more organized this school year thanks to these classroom supplies. We have plenty of pencils, glue sticks, and highlighters. I am looking forward to half-way through the school year replenishing student supplies to they have what they need for the remainder of the year. Thank you so much for your donation. It means the world to me and my students.”

  • Student Supplies for Learning at a Distance!

    Funded Jul 31, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation. This year has been a challenge in so many ways. My students use their Yoga mats on the daily. They are able to move their bodies in ways that wouldn't be possible without them. These yoga mats give them the flexible seating they need. During this pandemic the expectation of students has changed dramatically. These Yoga mats have helped them rise to these expectations. We are beyond grateful for your donation. The impact is unending, I truly don't know what I would do without them. Thank you!”

  • Inclusive Classroom Library!

    Funded Jul 10, 2020

What a joy it has been to see my student's faces light up while reading these books. These books have changed my classroom, my teaching, and most importantly my students. We have used these books in so many ways--from learning writing or social studies, to learning about social justice. My students have learned about themselves and learned about the value that diversity and uniqueness brings to our community. I a beyond grateful to continue reading and continue sharing these amazing books. Thank you for your donation, it means the world!”

  • iPads for 21st Century Learning!

    Funded May 5, 2020

These iPads couldn't have come at a better time. Things have drastically changed inside classrooms due to COVID 19. We have no access to desktop computers and limited access to the technology carts in our building. These iPads are game changing. They are easy to disinfect, and easy for the students to use. The best part is that they LOVE using them. We have been able to get on programs that we wouldn't have been able to get on this year to enrich our learning. We are beyond grateful. Although things are different, you can tell that my students are smiling (even with their masks on!) Thank you!”

  • Books for a Brighter Future

    Funded Jul 16, 2020

I am beyond grateful for your generous donations. The books we received are already transforming my classroom, my teaching, and most importantly my students. They are learning more about themselves and one another than ever before. We use these books for so much. Learning about writing, social studies, social skills and sometimes we read them for pure enjoyment. My class loves seeing themselves in books. Although this year is different-- you can see their smiles underneath their masks. We can't thank you all enough!”

  • Books for Our Classroom Library!

    Funded Jul 18, 2019

I am so excited for my students to get their hands on these books! These books are on my student's level & are going to help foster my student's love of reading and learning. I love that these books incorporate STEM, and allow students with all different interests to have an opportunity to explore and learn something new! I am forever grateful! Thank you for your support!”

  • Ozobots for the Future!

    Funded May 8, 2018

Thank you so much for you donation. My students couldn't believe that we were going to be using actual robots in our classroom. My students worked together to figure out problems, and best ways to make the robots go around the track. It was amazing to see first graders persevere through difficulties and then show their friends how they fixed the problem.

We invited a 4th grade class into our room to help work on the ozobots. We had a completion for the "best track" using codes to make the robots go fast, slow down, do the 'tornado' and other special functions that these amazing bots do! I can't believe how much collaboration these robots brought into my classroom! I can't thank you all enough! I can't wait to share these with my new students in September!”

  • Books for a Brighter Future!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

The books that you have helped my students have access to have changed my classroom culture. We use the books as our anchors for our literacy block. I read these multicultural books aloud, students learn vocabulary, story structure and valuable lessons for the stories we have read thus far. We start our reading block with building a schema chart on what we already know about the topic. Students are then able to add to it after our reading. These books have been game changing. Students are excited to read, and learn what topics we will study throughout the week!”

Coding is something I am so excited to introduce to my first graders. I was introduced to the Ozobots at a tech conference this month and I am eager to get this going in my classroom. These bots are a great introduction to basic coding for elementary students. We are living in a digital world, and this is such great way to be not only relevant to students, but to prepare them for tomorrow's world. I can't wait to have my students become engaged, excited and inspired by coding (and at such a young age!) We will be able to incorporate music and the arts with these bots--The possibilities are endless!!
