We use computers for activities on a weekly basis. What becomes a problem is not having enough working computers. We currently have 10 year old Mac books with missing keys and many other problems. Every time one stops working or will not allow students to log on, they miss important instruction time. I have 120 amazing students, that come from diverse backgrounds, these chrome books will allow all of my students to have an equal opportunity to excel. They will be used for remediation and acceleration. They will be able to practice reading, writing and speaking in Spanish. I will also be able to support their English language learning thorough their use of Spanish grammar comparisons to English. As we continue to move towards a technology based curriculum this is one step towards their preparation and a key to their success. We will be using various language programs, Duo-lingo, Quizlet, Quizizz, Kahoots, Quia, Quick time player for speaking activities and for video projects. They will also be used for Cultural research projects and activities.
