  • Building Explorers

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

I am incredibly grateful to all the wonderful people in our world community who have donated to my project. I am so eager and excited for my students to have access to tools and images to enhance their learning. Just this morning my students were observing pine needles and one student mentioned how it would be great to having magnifying glasses so we can see things more closely. Now I can tell them we will be able to do so with our very materials very soon. Thank you so much for all of your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. D.

  • Building Fine Motor Skills Through Play

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for purchasing items for our classroom. Our students use the items daily to improve their fine motor skills. As part of our morning activity, students practice this skill through fun, interactive and creative ways and are supporting their fine motor skills. Not only are they improving their fine motor skills to support them in writing and mathematics, but they are also working, sharing and conversing with their classmates to build positive relationships with their peers.

We are incredibly grateful for all of your support and are excited for the materials to continue to support our students.”

  • Materials for Remote Learning

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation at the beginning of the school year. We are almost half way through the school year and have seen the impact your donation has made on the students. The students' remote learning experience has greatly improved with the addition of much needed school supplies.

Now that students have the materials they need with them at home they are able to participate in lessons. Students are using their white boards to share their math work. They are using baskets to organize their school supplies. And they are using their pocket charts to keep track of their daily schedule.

Thank you for everything you do for our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. D.

  • Help us revive our Reading Center!

    Funded Dec 3, 2016

Thank you for donating to our project. The bean bags and book baskets have reawakened our Reading Center. It is now a part of our classroom that students are eager to explore. When the boxes, filled with the supplies, first arrived my students were eager to peek in and find out what had arrived. Their eyes lit up when they saw the bean bags.

With the book baskets I was able to reorganize the reading center into leveled fiction and nonfiction books. I was also able to add additional space for students to explore science and social studies content through books on different topics. The supplies could not have arrived at a better time. We just began our nonfiction reading and writing unit and with the new baskets to easily organize and manage the reading center my students were able to access all the books they needed independently.

My students are also extremely excited about using the bean bags throughout the day. When they are in their English class they use the blue bean bags and when they are in the Mandarin class they use the red bean bags.

Thank you again for your kind donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. D.

  • Election Unit for K-5

    Funded Oct 4, 2012

I know I speak for my students when I say thank you for all of your support. The books that you donated have supported my students in various ways including vocabulary building, content knowledge, and exposure to citizenship and leadership. These books became even more of a resource after Hurricane Sandy as students used these texts to evaluate and discuss acts of good citizenship from neighbors and community members that they encountered in their neighborhood after the storm.

I am extremely grateful for you generous donations and support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. D.
