Homework Helper!
Funded Jul 24, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations and for supporting my fifth grade students in their learning. Because of you, my students have been coming into the classroom each morning and have a specific place to copy their homework allowing them to be accountable and responsible for their work.
When the students first saw the planners waiting for them in their desks they were so excited! They were never introduced to an organized book like this one and it has been apparent to me that they take pride in having this responsibility.
We are all so grateful for these donations!”
With gratitude,
Ms. DiVenere
Homework Helper
Funded Aug 16, 2018Thank you so much for the donation of student planners. The students come in the classroom every morning and immediately copy their homework under the correct date, using the appropriate line for each subject area. Because of this, the students have been more responsible and held accountable for their homework. The students have been completing their homework accurately and consistently and I believe that is because of you! Through your generosity and help, the the students were given a place to write their assignments; therefore, they do not forget what to do each afternoon after they leave school. Having these planners has taught the students how to be responsible, meet deadlines, and how to stay accountable for all of their work.
The students were so excited and grateful to have received such a thoughtful gift instead of being given a "homework sheet" like they had in previous years that always seems to get lost. My students always know where their planners are and they are very careful about keeping it in a safe and easy to get place. We all appreciate your generosity and help in making this school year a success!”
With gratitude,
Ms. DiVenere
This classroom project was brought to life by News Corp and 2 other donors.Supplies for the 5th Grade Tribe
Funded Aug 6, 2018Thank you again so much for contributing to my project and helping my students learn and grow. So far, we were able to utilize all of the materials donated to us, especially the mailboxes which help my students learn organizational skills; as well as, teaches them responsibility to "check their mail" to ensure they have all the appropriate papers each afternoon.
The students were also really excited to receive their own personal pencil cases which has helped the students have a spot for their pencils limiting the amount of pencils going missing.
Most of my school day is constructed in small group teaching; therefore, the mini white board fits perfectly on my kidney table during small group instruction time. The students are allowed to use it offering differentiation and hands-on, visual thinking in a smaller setting.
The students as well as I are super grateful and excited about all the donations and the generosity from everyone. Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Ms. DiVenere
