  • Homework Helper!

    Funded Jul 24, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations and for supporting my fifth grade students in their learning. Because of you, my students have been coming into the classroom each morning and have a specific place to copy their homework allowing them to be accountable and responsible for their work.

When the students first saw the planners waiting for them in their desks they were so excited! They were never introduced to an organized book like this one and it has been apparent to me that they take pride in having this responsibility.

We are all so grateful for these donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. DiVenere

  • Homework Helper

    Funded Aug 16, 2018

Thank you so much for the donation of student planners. The students come in the classroom every morning and immediately copy their homework under the correct date, using the appropriate line for each subject area. Because of this, the students have been more responsible and held accountable for their homework. The students have been completing their homework accurately and consistently and I believe that is because of you! Through your generosity and help, the the students were given a place to write their assignments; therefore, they do not forget what to do each afternoon after they leave school. Having these planners has taught the students how to be responsible, meet deadlines, and how to stay accountable for all of their work.

The students were so excited and grateful to have received such a thoughtful gift instead of being given a "homework sheet" like they had in previous years that always seems to get lost. My students always know where their planners are and they are very careful about keeping it in a safe and easy to get place. We all appreciate your generosity and help in making this school year a success!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. DiVenere

  • Supplies for the 5th Grade Tribe

    Funded Aug 6, 2018

Thank you again so much for contributing to my project and helping my students learn and grow. So far, we were able to utilize all of the materials donated to us, especially the mailboxes which help my students learn organizational skills; as well as, teaches them responsibility to "check their mail" to ensure they have all the appropriate papers each afternoon.

The students were also really excited to receive their own personal pencil cases which has helped the students have a spot for their pencils limiting the amount of pencils going missing.

Most of my school day is constructed in small group teaching; therefore, the mini white board fits perfectly on my kidney table during small group instruction time. The students are allowed to use it offering differentiation and hands-on, visual thinking in a smaller setting.

The students as well as I are super grateful and excited about all the donations and the generosity from everyone. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. DiVenere

My students are in need of these reading materials and organizational supplies in order to benefit their learning and our classroom atmosphere. . Allowing my students access to these materials will allow for a successful, smoother school year with many different learning materials to assist the children while they are reading and working in small groups. The Wood Adjustable Literature Organizer will be used as a mailbox for the students. Each child will receive their own compartment that will be used to store all their materials in order to keep the classroom organized and allow for them to not lose any of their important items. The Pencil Pouches will be used as another form of organization inside the classroom. Each child will be assigned a specific color. Inside their pencil cases will be seven pencils for each week. Based on their color they will have a designated day to sharpen their pencils in the morning that way the children are not getting up to sharpen their pencils throughout the day. Because of this, students will always have a pencil ready if another one breaks, and they will never lose any of their pencils because they will each have a home for them. On top of organizational items, I am also asking for Fluency Cards and Reading and Responding Cards. These items will be used in the morning during morning work and small group guided reading time. This will help to focus in on each child's reading comprehension. During this time, I will also be using the Portable Easel in order to make learning more hands on and visible for each child. My students will be extremely grateful for all of the help and support in receiving these items!
