iCase Because iCare
Funded Sep 8, 2022Thank you again for your support of our building. The iPad cases are giving our students the opportunity to start exploring the world of graphic design and video game design. We were lucky enough to have the iPads in the building but we had no protection system and did not have the funds to get them. As a result, they had been sitting in a cart. Now, we are able to get them out and into students hands.
From designing their own cartoons, to developing educational video games, to learning videography skills, this tech will be a great asset to the students' education. Thank you again for your help in making these projects a possibility and I can't wait to share the work!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Discenza

Funded Jun 9, 2022Thank you for helping grow the game of volleyball to our 6th-8th graders. These girls have been so excited to learn the game and being able to offer them the tools they need for success means the world to me.
The program started this year with half of a broken cart and balls that won't stay inflated. Despite this, they learned how to pass properly, serve legally, and develop the proper footwork for attacks. These building blocks will help this years 8th graders prepare to play in high school next season. In addition, it has developed a love of the game for the underclassman. I look forward to being able to continue this program next year and I know the girls will be thrilled to have the supplies they need to further their development!”

Funded Mar 2, 2022Already, your donation has made a huge impact in my classroom. The students have been asking about what is going up on the wall and when they will be able to use the tools it will hold and I am ecstatic to be able to start using it with them. In addition, the peg board has helped clean up clutter in the room with the storage available for all the supplies needed for the Makerspace. By utilizing that space, the students can now access the tools they need at their pace without having to interrupt other student's learning.
Thank you for giving our students this new learning opportunity and for continuously opening their world of creation to things they never knew possible.”

Funded Mar 27, 2022Thank you again for your continuous support of my students. With all the uncertainty of the school year and everyday life, it is such a wonderful thing to know that my students are cared for by such a huge community.
This project will allow students to take the power of a battery to light up any project their brains can develop. They will be able to create switches, light fading, and many more effects with these tools and will also grow the knowledge or how electricity transfers through different materials. As the students are getting older in our technology program, they are more and more willing to experiment and try new areas of expression and this is the perfect tool to do that. In addition, we are an ARTS and DESIGN school so being able to blend those two areas together is perfect for our magnet theme.
Thank you again for your support and I can't wait to share with you all their creations!”

Dashing to Success
Funded Feb 10, 2022From 2nd to 8th grade, I have never experienced a product that brought such immediate joy to all students. The Dash Robots allowed my students the opportunity to make coding a kinesthetic activity which helped make real life connections to what they were doing on their computers.
The pure awe that could be seen on their faces as what they coded came to life and worked with their robots was truly magical for me. Without your support, my students would never have had this experience. For some, this was a major turning point in my class. They were able to see the vast possibilities with technology and it opened them to a whole new world of exploring. Thank you for giving my students this wonderful gift, I can't wait to see what they create next!”

Funded Feb 9, 2022So many possibilities have been opened with our new Code Hopper Kits. These are a kid friendly, screen free way for students who are kinesthetic learners to develop their coding skills and get some energy out. We have been trying to get these in our building for a few years and I am beyond excited to be able to introduce students to them across many grade levels.
When the package arrived, my third graders were in the room and were so excited to "test them out" for other classes. Then, when some of my 5th graders came, they wanted a try too. I love how no matter what the grade, students are able to adjust the complexity of the game to meet their level. In addition, these have been a wonderful way of introducing coding to our K students in a fun and active way. Thank you for bringing so much joy to my students even in a time where joy is hard to find.”

Funded Oct 5, 2021Already, your donation has made a huge impact in my classroom. The students have been asking about our laser cutter since the beginning of the school year and I am ecstatic to be able to start using it with them. In addition, the cart has helped clean up clutter in the room with the storage available for all the supplies needed for the glowforge. By utilizing that space, the laser cutter can now be used around the school and safely transported from classroom to classroom.
Thank you for giving our students this new learning opportunity and for continuously opening their world of creation to things they never knew possible.”
