My 6th graders are curious and kind, and love to learn! Following the work of Dr. Sims Bishop and the idea of books as windows, mirrors, and sliding doors, my goal is to fill our classroom with books that enable my students to see themselves, to learn about others, and to grow in their understanding of the ties that bind us together. There are so many amazing books available today, and donations help get those books into my students' hands and help them to grow as readers, as individuals, and together as a community.
