My students are English language learners. Their first language is Spanish. Most of them were born in another country and have moved with their parents here to Massachusetts. Within my class a few students have special needs, too. Our school is a young K-2 school, we are in our 3rd year. My class is one of 3 second grades within a small 12 classroom school. We do not have a cafeteria so we spend most of our time in the classroom; we have become a tight knit group. Stamina, responsibility and respect are what, as a school, we practice daily. Though my students don't come from well to do families they definitely have big hearts and a love for learning.
