Females Finding Sports
Funded Nov 13, 2015The new track and field equipment has been put to great use already. We have been using the elastic high jump bar to train. Our incoming freshman, who never jumped before, found it extremely beneficial and have been excelling in our indoor meets. The hurdles are used daily in practice. Our girls are training for the 55, 100, and 400m hurdles. We even have some girls that are training to be decathletes!
When the new equipment came, the team was extremely excited and quickly took everything out of the box so that they could get started training with their new "toys".
We all just want to thank you again for helping us to realize this step on our journey. It truly means a lot.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis
This classroom project was brought to life by DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation - Sports Matter and 6 other donors.Young Women With Technology
Funded Oct 21, 2014Hello,
My students ooohhed and aaahhhed when I wheeled in the projector cart and projector. They all wanted to know where I got it from. When I told them, they all commented on how nice you are, and I have to agree. We all truly appreciate what you did for us.
Now that we have the projector, my students are able to show off their presentations to the class. They are able to research scientific concepts, write about them, and bring them to life on the screen while they stand in the front of the room and teach the class about what they have learned.
I am also able to do the same thing with new topics that I introduce. I show videos and animations to my students to aid in the understanding of a concept. We are able to do virtual labs as a class as well which helps in the daily progress of my students.
We are overwhelmed by your generosity.”

Ms. Davis
Women in the Science Lab and in the Know
Funded Dec 5, 2012My students and I would like to thank you. We are so excited. The supplies you afforded us have already come in handy in a number of ways. The Choices Magazine I use with my girls to explain positive characteristics that we want to have. We discuss manners, honesty, humility, etc. The Time For Kids we use to keep current with science events. The girls are excited EVERY time we get in a shipment.
The science kits have me over the moon. Now the girls can put their science to the test in real life. These hands-on kits help the girls to discover and explore science on their own making connections along the way. We use the balance balls and the skeleton to do the same.
I can not express enough the gratitude we feel for you. You make a huge difference in the lives of teachers and students alike. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis
Science Project Consumables
Funded Oct 31, 2012We have already begun using our new supplies and we can't thank you enough. I personally want to thank you for making a difference. With the markers, crayons, scissors, staplers, and construction paper my students were able to bring their science to life. Some of my students actually constructed a simple machine while others created the rock cycle in my room. My students get so excited when they realize that there are enough supplies to go around and since our delivery, their work has taken on new light.
Our school budget has decrease dramatically, but it's people like you who help teachers keep learning fun, interesting, and hands-on. I am ecstatic and truly grateful for your gifts.”

Science Classroom Supplies
Funded Jan 15, 2012My students and I wish to thank you for all of the classroom supplies. Many people don't realize how important the basics are. My students were so excited to finally have some construction paper for projects and a class stapler to put everything in its place. Now, when they turn in a project it is not only academically correct but visually stimulating as well. The construction paper, computer paper, flip charts, and stapler are greatly appreciated. The flip chart paper now decorates my walls with huge versions of student work. They LOVE seeing their work displayed and feel a sense of accomplishment.
Thanks to generous people like you, my classroom is a much happier place!

Women and Hands-on Science
Funded Oct 4, 2011I would like to take the time to offer my sincerest of thanks. Your contributions are changing the way my students learn and view science. The kits and hands-on activities that you have provided are opening new doors for my students as they learn that science can be fun!
The budget cut backs have limited classroom supplies making it hard to obtain just the basics, never mind hands-on kits and experiments. You have afforded us new opportunities and for that we are truly grateful.
Thank you for your continued support.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis
Gearing Up For Science
Funded Sep 19, 2011I want to thank you so very much for donating these classroom supplies. My students have already begun using the supplies for their projects. Our projects are much more vibrant and colorful now than they were before. I am also appreciative for the Clorox wipes and the broom and dust pan so that we are able to clean up properly. A great science experiment is fun but cleaning up after ourselves is just as important.
Our district is under a budget crunch and therefore, the students would have been without these basic yet necessary supplies without your help.
Thank you again for your support”

Ms. Davis
Bringing Science To Life!
Funded Nov 12, 2010I just want to say thank you and let you know how much your generosity is appreciated. We have already begun using the ELMO in our classroom. The girls are able to follow along with me in my science book and view and discuss photos as a whole group rather than two or three at a time. I am also able to demonstrate labs and lab techniques for the class simultaneously. The girls love it and so do I.
Our city has decreased our budget by quite a substantial amount and manipulatives like the ELMO would have never made it into my classroom without you. Thanks to you my girls are able to see the world of science around them.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis
Materials to Grow On
Funded Dec 11, 2009First, I want to thank you for your generosity. My students were so excited to receive these materials. The reading and math materials that we received, I put at different tables for the children to use independently while I'm working with others. They love them! I don't even think they realize that they are learning and growing academically. They beg me to use the materials all the time.
In an ideal world, we would not have to sacrifice educational toys, tools, or books due to budgeting. Thanks to people like you, we don't have to.
Thank you for helping us make learning fun again.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
