• Kindergarten Ink Restock

  Thank you so much for the ink! It is such a relief to be able to have access to plenty of resources that my students can access. Working with a special needs population, it is so important that I differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of my students. Having colored materials helps my students visualize and understand their work better.

  I am also able to have access to fun materials to create a special bond with my students such as certificates and decorations throughout the classroom.

• HMH Books for Kindergarten

  Thank you so much for these books! I am so grateful for these as they have made a huge impact on my teaching and my students learning. Before we didn't have copies of all our books used in our reading curriculum. If I didn't have the book, I would have to display it on the Smartboard with a PDF version. It was hard to keep my students engaged when reading this way. Now with these books, I am able to keep my students engaged in a book and teaching them the important skill of reading through a book. My students love interacting with the books on their own as well. They will ask to reread the books I have read and "play teacher."

• Cozy Kindergarten Library

  Thank you so much for brightening up my classroom library. I wanted to create a fun and cozy space that invites my students into it and welcomes them into exploring new books. The carpet raceway has given it a more welcoming feeling but also is a great play space for the class during free choice. My students are playing with each other more, rather than independently, and are learning how to take turns. It is so sweet to see in a class with students with disabilities.

  They definitely noticed our two new book buddies. They are enjoying both Curious George and Pete the Cat. The students are making connections with old and new book buddies that are in the library.

• Special Books for a Special Class

  Thank you so much for these books! I've noticed this year that my students love books and exploring new topics as well! The sensory books have not only taught them new ideas, but also how to regulate themselves when feeling overwhelmed. My students are feeling the different textures from the sensory books, as well as the Braille books and as they do, they are learning new things.

  The Spanish translation books have made my students so happy. They feel represented in the classroom and don't feel left out when it's time for reading centers! They love seeing their language expressed in their classroom and it's made me so happy that they're able to find a love for reading.

  Thank you again for these resources! In a self-contained class, having different tools at my disposable is critical to help my students as best I can!

• You Give Me Butterflies!

  Thank you for the amazing classroom experience of hatching butterflies! My students had such a wonderful time learning how caterpillars become butterflies but watching it live over four weeks. I was so grateful that the kit that was provided gave us over 30 caterpillars which gave us a very successful amount of butterflies.

  My student mostly enjoyed seeing the caterpillars get bigger and fatter. It was funny to see their reactions as the caterpillars got bigger. The visual of the models helped them so much so they understood the caterpillars started small and got bigger. When they turned into cocoons, the class waited patiently and within two weeks we had about 25 butterflies!

  This was such a great experience for my class. For students with disabilities, having a live concept of the life cycle of a butterfly was a great way for them to learn and experience this with me. Thank you so much for your generosity!”

• Adaptive Learning Tools for Students With Disabilities

  I cannot even begin to tell you the changes I've seen in my classroom with these tools! My students love using the jumbo pencils and crayons and now asking them to draw or write has become enjoyable and not stress-inducing.

  My students also love working for the kinetic sand. This is such a motivating reward for them as well as a way to relax them when we've come back from an assembly or a school event that can be over-stimulating for my kids.

  We use the floor markers both for lining up to go in the hallway as well as doing math! Using these spots with the numbers has been a fun way to help students understand the value of numbers as well as how to skip count.
