  • Lights, Doc Camera, Action

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you for giving my class the opportunity to enhance their learning. The way the document camera has helped my students learn is through visual aid. When I read a book to them I place it under the document camera so the students are able to follow along. A lot of the times we read picture books where the document camera helps show the illustrations to the students. This way they are able to visualize the story and the important events better.

Another way the document camera helps my students is during the modeling part of the math lesson. My students get super excited when they are able to follow along with the math lesson as I model it. They love to see me modeling in the same workbook as they are working in. A lot of students, especially English Language Learners are engaged when the document camera is in use. This benefits them because it is used as a visual aid and it helps students understand what we are doing in class.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Danilova

  • Engaging Virtual Learning With an Apple

    Funded Sep 7, 2020

The use of our iPad and Apple Pen has been extremely beneficial! Every day I am able to help my students excel with using the iPad as a document camera, creating charts on it, editing students work, and share my iPad screen to model math problems. Some days when my other device freezes or stops working I am able to live stream my lessons by using the iPad. With the Apple Pen, I often model penmanship to help students visualize letters.

My students get super excited when I use the product to share the screen and help them with their work. When the clock hits for math they start chanting for the iPad because they are able to see me modeling the work as if it's a real white board. The visualization benefits my student's learning. They also get excited when I project the iPad as a document camera and create a chart with them. This helps them understand the lesson further.

There are a few students who love the iPad in a special way because it is hard for them to understand the assignments and how to access them. I log in as a student and model for how to access each assignment. These students grow confidence in navigating the different platforms we utilize .

With our new devices my students are happily excelling in remote learning!”

  • Engaging Learning With Flexibility

    Funded May 5, 2020

When my students are able to get back in our classroom they will use their new resources with joy! Since students have not been able to return back into our school building my students have been sitting behind their computers trying hard to learn. They have been restless and are experiencing difficulties concentrating on their studies.

With flexible seating they will be able to get a fresh start in learning once we are back! They will be able to choose their own comfort of learning that will benefit their concentration. My students are eager to get back into the classroom and explore different ways of learning. When they found out they will have different seating arrangements they were super excited because it will create more space for their creativity!”

  • A Pop of Color in Our Classroom

    Funded Jan 11, 2020

Thank you so much for all your generous donations! By providing our classroom with a colored printer really enhanced students learning and the work they produced. Since many of the students have special needs and are English Language Learners they need to be provided with visual aids. During lessons we print out colored images and graphic organizers that helps students understand the material better. During our writing unit students wrote a persuasive letter to the principal explaining why or why not chocolate milk should be served in schools. All of the students were able to type up their letters and include images to further explain their opinion. Students were ecstatic that they were able to include visuals in their letters.

Some of our students even get the opportunity to enjoy the printer at home. We print color coordinated organizers, vocabulary words and images that students get to study at home. Color coordinated organizers help students organize essays. Colored vocabulary words with image support helps students study and memorize words better. The colored printer really enhanced our students learning in many different ways! Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Danilova

The materials I am requesting today will be used by every one of my students everyday. As English Language Learners, they come home and have difficulty doing homework due to the language barrier. Having access to a color printer will be beneficial because homework can be printed with visual aids. Projects and essays can be published, and many activities can be enhanced with color. Your generous donation toward this project will benefit my students learning both in and out of our classroom. A lot of my students will be able to have homework printed in color with visual aids to help them complete it. This will also help parents understand their children's homework and it will help families come together. My students are excited about learning and are already looking forward to coloring our world away.
