  • Color Printer

    Words cannot express how grateful we are for our new color printer. In the short time since we've received our printer, we have already been able to complete so many projects in our classroom!

    Our class is an ICT class, meaning we have general education and special education students. We have been able to print many manipulatives, including 100s charts for math, letter tiles for reading, and counting coins.

    We have created so many charts for our classroom, and have been able to print them immediately which has been so impactful for on-demand support for our students.

  • Document Reader for My Young Readers and Writers!

    Thank you again for your generous donations. Because of you, my students are having a much easier time following along in mini-lessons and guided practice. The document camera is helping me model for my students while providing them with the explicit visuals that their little minds need. While the document camera is still new in our classroom, we have had so much fun so far exploring math and phonics with this new support.

    The most exciting part for my students is when I am able to share their work for their whole class to see. After completing a lesson, we regroup on the carpet and we look at student work. Seeing their work on the big screen of our SmartBoard gives them a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. In addition, my young kindergarteners are strengthening their ability to peer-assess.

    Again, this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for all of you. Thank you for giving me the chance to implement this helpful technology into my classroom.”

A document camera would aid all of my kindergarteners during Reader's and Writer's Workshop. This document camera can plug directly into my laptop and project a live image of a document. Similar to a projector, the document camera enlarges the document, providing access to all students simultaneously. The document camera would provide me with a way to instantly project a document so that all of my students can see the document from wherever they are seated in the classroom. My students are such eager and passionate learners. If funded, I plan to implement this tool in my classroom immediately. I plan to utilize the camera to project student work as well, helping them to peer- and self-assess their work.
