  • 5th Grade Library

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution toward our class library. Scholars are able to dive in culturally responsive texts and make connections to characters and events in stories. Scholars are able to decode unfamiliar words, use context clues to identify the meaning of words, and have guided instruction during guided reading.

In our classroom scholars are given the opportunity to read after they have completed instruction, during morning work, and during readers workshop. Scholars are immersed in their books. We are respectful toward each other by reading silently. In addition, having tangible books in our hands adds to the positive reading experience.

As a class we appreciate your donation and are very thankful for your contribution. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Duperon

  • Help the Future Leaders of Tomorrow!

    Funded Sep 26, 2014

Thank you so much for the contribution to my class! My students and I are so excited to know that they have access to mini iPads during Science time. They have researched topics of interests, played educational games to learn about science topics and write reports for topics of interest. Students are more engaged during instructional time and work really hard to earn free time on the iPad at the end of the week. Students also love when they are able to work with a partner to complete tasks as well. Again, thank you so much! Without donors like you students will not be able to have these resources!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Duperon

  • Technology for Future Scientist!

    Funded May 7, 2014

My project has been funded, and my students and I are all extremely excited! With your support, we are able to have scientist research topics of interest, print pictures that relate to the current unit of study, and have more students working on a computer at one time. I am confident that this will increase interest, and understanding in Science.

This funding has come right on time. Looking ahead at my lessons for the coming months, I will be able to use the class computer in an exciting and appropriate way to fuel student learning and achievement. One more time, thanks so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Duperon

  • Help our Future Scientist!!!

    Funded Sep 5, 2012

Thank you for your generosity towards my class project. The digital microscope that you donated have helped my students in many ways. We have used the digital microscope to observe buoyancy, soil, rocks, and water. We also have class discussions about science observations because we are able to observe items as a group.

Without your help it would not be possible to do this. I am able to lead class discussions based on observations as a group. I can't say thank you enough. Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms would go without.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Duperon
