  • Outside Enthusiasts

    Funded Aug 15, 2018

The students were so excited when they saw the canopies and the grassy area. They call it the "park". That first day they just rolled around on the "grass". They had so much fun! When the foam blocks were put out for them to use they made these towers that were taller than them and when the blocks fell they didn't get hurt. They love those blocks!

We all love the generous gifts we have received. My class is not the only one that benefits, we share the playground with 4 other classrooms and they love the "park" as well. Having the canopies and the grass area has been such a blessing. Thank you for making the playground a more pleasant place for the students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Weaver

  • Eager Readers Read Around the Room

    Funded Mar 15, 2012

Thank you for all the materials. The students truly enjoy using the CD players. They can't wait to use them during our Independent Work Time. If we can't use them for some reason they get disappointed. Everyone of my students can't wait till it's his/her turn to use the CD players and listen to a book.

I have seen a great improvement in their engagement while reading. Instead of just leafing through the books they will listen to them over and over again and nothing could make me happier. The fact that they can take the CD players to their desk helps with our limited space and it allows the students more freedom in where they would like to read.

I combined books that I already had with the books that were donated. This way the students have a variety of books to choose from. I rotate the books so that they will be able to discover new books every so often. The CD players, books and storage center have made my class a happier and more productive place. Once again, thank you for your generous donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Weaver

My TK and Kinder students are very active and curious. They are eager to explore the world around them through different experiences. Their favorite time of day is when they get to play on the playground and interact with their friends. This social interaction is so important for them at this young age because it helps them learn to be good citizens.
