  • Listen to Learn

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

I can't thank you enough for your generosity! I am extremely grateful, and my students are going to be very excited about this addition to our classroom. The earbuds will be used often to enhance our classroom instruction. We appreciate the organizers to help take care of supplies to be used throughout the year. Thank you for supporting public education and my students.”

  • Celebrating Math

    Funded Jul 25, 2018

WOW, what an awesome week of math camp. Students were so excited and learning new things while having fun. Their faces lit up with excitement when we told them we had some prizes to give out. One little boy came up to me to show me the calculator he won. He said he did not have one at home and was so excited to get one that was just for him. The gel pens were a big hit also. Students love new school supplies.

One day a boy came up and wanted to know when snack time was because he was so hungry. I was so grateful for the treats we had to give as snacks. We had snack time, along with PE time in the middle of math camp day and the students loved it.

You have made such a difference in these young lives. Thank you so much for your generous donations and for supporting my students. I am so grateful for your love and support of my students and education.”

  • Math Camp Supplies for Students

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations. It makes my heart smile for all the support my classroom receives from such generous donors. I appreciate the supplies you have helped purchase so that students will be able to take supplies home also. Math camp is a time that all students are learning math through hands on, engaging activities. They love to come and all the students love and appreciate the tokens they get to take home. The pencil sharpeners and protractors will be used many times throughout the school year and I am sure, not just doing homework. It is really great to be able to hand a child supplies they will use on a regular basis. It is awesome to see them get so excited. Your giving spirit helps make all this possible. Thank you again for all you do to support education.”

  • Hands-on Learning of 3D Shapes

    Funded Sep 16, 2017

Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting education, but especially for helping students in my classroom.

Volume and Surface Area are two math concepts that students seem to really struggle with in 7th grade. Having these Geometric Solids for them to work with will help them make connections easier. The 3-D shapes fold out to form nets (2-D shapes) so students can see and find area of each side more easily. This will help guide them to a deeper understanding of 3D concepts.

My students are so excited to have more hands-on experiences in math to explore and learn through doing! They love having manipulatives to work with and make learning fun.

Thank you for caring for all students. These will be used this year and for future years to enhance student learning.”

  • Help Us Prepare to Succeed

    Funded Aug 25, 2017

Words cannot express how truly grateful me and my students are for your generous donations to our classroom. Students struggle with organization and besides teaching math, we work on organization also. Students need to be able to hole punch their work and notes to keep in a notebook. They were so excited to have the electric hole punch to use and be able to do several assignments at one time. The electric pencil sharpener has been great. Students have even stopped in to sharpener their pencils on the way to another class. It does a super job and with it being heavy duty I know it will last. In math I require them to write in pencil so that we can erase our errors and fix them. Having the extras pencils, along with the sharpeners has helped keep class time flowing. The pencils, paper, pencil sharpener, etc. are used multiple times daily. Thank you so much for caring for our students. Your generosity touches so many lives. I am happy that I can offer these items to our students, but that would not have been possible without YOU!!! Thanks so much.”

  • Reading Creates Great Mathematicians

    Funded Aug 3, 2017

WOW. I am overwhelmed with the generosity shown by your donations. My students are so excited to have all the math reading books around the room. I have even had a student come in early several times because he wants to read more of the books.

Each of the books has different concepts that are being taught. So as students are enjoying reading a book they are also learning math and more of how it is used in life. We especially like the Sir Cumference series. I like to read Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi on March 14th when we celebrate Pi day. Even middle school students enjoy being read to. It is also a good lead into our Geometry unit. Students need to see that learning is fun.

Whenever students finish work early they are allowed to read and they have loved having these books available. All through the day students are getting the books to read. We want to instill a love of reading for all students. We believe reading helps students succeed across all curriculum. Thank you for helping to create an awesome learning environment for our students. Thanks for supporting and investing in the future of our students.”

  • Math Games and Manipulatives for Higher Learning

    Funded Jul 31, 2017

Thank you so much for supporting our project. Your gift means so much to our students. Many students need the hands on manipulatives to help them move from the concrete concepts to more abstract concepts in Algebra. They also need fun ways to learn to help keep them engaged and see that learning is fun.

When the boxes first arrived my students were so excited! They could not wait to open them and be able to use them. The Algebra tiles have helped the students with solving equations to see how and why we solve how we do; and then we will also used them when we begin factoring. The Algebra tiles are a great asset to have in our classroom and we will be able to use them all throughout the year. The "I have, who has" game helps students with improving mental math skills along with having fun with math. I have made good use of the workbook, using new strategies to help make learning Algebra easier for students. We cannot thank you enough for providing us with these materials to help students more fully understand math concepts. We love using these products as partner work and individually.

It is awesome to have the support of the community and for students to see that everyone wants to help them succeed. We are all working together to create an awesome learning environment for them. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support. Thanks for investing in our future.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dixon

Some of my students have a hard time with math, especially with more abstract concepts. With the help of math manipulatives, students find it easier to learn the concepts. The hands-on learning helps them to develop a deeper understanding and for students to be able to apply the concepts in other situations. I want students to realize they can "do" math and it can be fun to learn. I also want to incorporate more reading in my classroom and would love to have some of the math reading books to be available to my students.
