As a teacher at a title 1 school, I must find ways to motivate my students. Kindergarten is more than just a grade for students to socialize and learn about colors and shapes. Kindergarten is a fundamental year for my kiddos. Having a nurturing environment for students will provide them with the opportunity to build on social, comprehension, vocabulary, social, cognitive skills, and much more. Being that my students come from a low income community they are not exposed to developmentally appropriate play. Having an area where students can socialize using everyday play material will provide them with a time where they could express themselves and be able to problem solve with their peers. I am eager to build an exciting environment where my kiddos feel at home, feel trust, and know that our classroom is a safe place. To be ready every morning to have a successful day regardless of the struggles.

About my class
