  • 5th Graders Love Graphic Novels

    Funded Jul 16, 2025

Thank you so much for funding this project! Some of my favorite projects are book related ones. Building a love of learning early on is SO important for children.

I am excited to provide my students with new and exciting graphic novels to help even the most reluctant readers find books that they love.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Craig

  • Games and Activities for Recess

    Funded May 5, 2025

Thank you so much for funding this project today during Teacher Appreciation Week! I am so excited to give my students new recess equipment and crafts/games to do during indoor recess. Soccer, football and basketball are all such a hit during recess. I know the new sports balls will be greatly appreciated by my students!!”

  • Classroom Organization!

    Funded Sep 15, 2021

Thank you SO much for your generous donations! A classroom organization project may not seem that important in the long run, but a well run and structured classroom is extremely important to student success.

This project has provided our classroom with bins to keep our library running smoothly. The baskets and bins provided in this project contain sets of books divided up by genre or series. They are then labeled on the front with a matching sticker label on the back of each book. This provides students with a very user friendly experience.

I appreciate your donation in helping our classroom succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Craig

  • New Books for a New Grade!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation! Independent reading is one of my absolute favorite times in our day because of the excellent books that you have so graciously provided!

This project has been one of my favorites so far. It provides diverse genres of books so that every single reader can find something they love!

Some current favorites from this project within my classroom are Babymouse, Babysitter's Club and Percy Jackson. The adventures in these graphic novels keep readers engaged and excited about reading. I also love that they are all series so that my students can continue to learn more about the characters!”

  • Necessities for the New Year

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

Projects that include the most basic supplies are always the most important. In 5th grade, we go through pencils, crayons and snacks so quickly. Thank you for helping me restock all of these items!

As a teacher, I often end up spending a lot of my own money to provide for my students when needed. Because of your donations and your continuous support, I am able to scale back. This is the case for most teachers as well. Your willingness to support me will never go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you!!”

  • 5th Grade Supplies for Success!

    Funded Apr 26, 2025

Thank you so much for funding this project so quickly! I am extremely grateful. My students having the supplies they need from day one means parents do not have to worry about a supply list and I do not have to spend my own money to provide everything that they need up front. Every single supply that you funded will be used, most of them daily by my students next year. Thank you!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Craig

  • 5th Grade School Supplies

    Funded May 23, 2024

Your contribution to our classroom is SO important. A basic supplies project may seem like it doesn't have a huge impact on learning, but trust me, it does! Our yearly basic supplies project is arguably the most imporant.

Because of you, students do NOT have to worry about coming to class prepared. Each day, they have what they need to be successful.

The supplies in this project are used every single day. Students use their color coded folders in all subjects to ensure that they are organized. Basic supplies like pencils, tissues and glue sticks ensure that I do not have to buy additional supplies throughout the year for students.

THANK YOU for being a supporter of public education!”

  • Our Class Is Out of This World!

    Funded Jun 1, 2022

Thank you SO much for helping me make an inviting, warm and home like classroom for my students.

After teaching in only younger grades for most of my career, I was nervous about creating a learning environment that was calming and aesthetically pleasing while also more age appropriate for older students. I am so glad that I traded my muted rainbow theme for a space theme. The space themed lights are a fun way to add brightness and color to our classroom. The banner hangs proudly on our work display outside, as well as the shiny borders, drawing staff and students to look at our work. My personal favorite is the motivational posters that students read every day. Thank you so much!”

  • Libros en Espanol

    Funded Oct 6, 2023

I say this often, but this project has truly been one of my favorites. I cannot thank you enough for fully funding it so quickly. The pure joy on the faces of my students who speak Spanish was priceless. I wish you all could've been there!

Having a special section dedicated to books in Spanish has been so joyous. It has helped bring quite a few readers out of their shells and helped them find joy in reading. Reading should be a pleasant experience for all children and because of you, it is. There are books for EVERY student in my class to enjoy now. We are SO thankful for you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Craig

My students come from families of low income. Often times, they do not play enough while at home. This can cause a lot of students to feel the need to get up and get those wiggles out during academic time. The amount of wandering around the room can cause distractions within the learning environment. My goal is to give students choice and an appropriate way to move during academic time, decreasing the distractions within our classroom. I believe that flexible seating can provide my students with the tools they need to be successful. With flexible seating, my students will have the chance to be in control of their own learning, as well as their bodies. Yoga balls, wobble stools and sit upons provide the students with an appropriate amount of leg and bottom movement as the work. Chair bands can assist students who feel the need to move their legs. Scoop chairs allow students to work within the room so that they are separated from distractions. Regular stools are great for students to practice sitting up tall. Each week, my students will get to choose the seating option that works best for them. As kids, it is natural to have a busy body. I want to provide a successful learning environment for my 2nd graders that allows them to move and be comfortable!
