  • Building Confident Readers

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

The new books and materials are helping our students practice their reading skills. The students are using these materials to practice basic reading skills. The students track their progress, and some can already see a difference. This is very encouraging for our students and it pushes them to want to read more. We are definitely building more confident readers and this is all thanks to you all. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity. It is greatly appreciated. We are getting high school ready!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Colindres

This classroom project was brought to life by #TeachHealthy with Nature Made.
  • Help Us Stay Hydrated

    Funded Oct 22, 2021

This project has helped us stay hydrated after running practices after school. The students were excited and grateful to have cold water and fruit snacks available to them right after their long practices. The students are more motivated to exercise when they know a cold snack is waiting for them after running approximately 2-3 miles 2 times a week. The students are encouraged by the snacks! Thank you again for making this possible for our Carver SRLA team! You are helping us become marathon-ready!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Colindres

  • The Gift of Reading

    Funded Sep 15, 2021

This project helped my students access grade-level books that are of interest to them. Many of our students enjoy reading. However, when they visit our school library, they find a limited selection of books, or sometimes the books they want to read are already checked out. Now, the students can borrow the books from my classroom. I have a check-out system where the students can borrow the books for up to three weeks and exchange them for a different book when the time is up. Thanks to all the donors, the students have enjoyed this process and the lovely readers they can access!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Colindres

  • A Classroom is a Second Home

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for all your help! All my students were excited and in complete shock when they saw our classroom transformation. The students are now part of a welcoming and encouraging classroom environment they are proud of.

Now, we have a huge growth mindset board, and all the students are always looking at it and asking questions about it. They also reference this board whenever they feel frustrated in class. I cannot thank everyone enough. All the materials and resources from this project will definitely impact our students in a very positive way.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Colindres

  • Help Me Keep My Students Safe!

    Funded May 3, 2021

Thank you so much for all your help and support. The items purchased with this product are helping my students daily. We are using each one of the items from this project consistently to keep students safe from the Coronavirus. Students and staff use disposable masks, sanitizers, wipes, and PPE on a daily basis. All of these items have given our students an opportunity to come back into the classroom physically.

Our students, parents, and classroom staff were beyond excited to see all of the donations and we can't thank you all enough!”

  • Enhance and Enable Special Education Learning!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for helping me fund this project. This came as a gift during a tough time when our district was transitioning into fully remote learning. The items funded with this project helped the students greatly. We were able to send some items home for students who needed hands-on manipulatives similar to the ones they were used to in the classroom. The students were extremely excited and so were the parents. Every one of you helped facilitate distance learning in such a challenging time. We greatly thank you for all your support!”

    With gratitude,

“If they can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn” – Ignacio Estrada Our students on the alternate curriculum are bright and have the ability to learn to read, write, and do math like their typical peers. However, they need more support and help! Our students use their 5 senses to learn. Our students need manipulatives and hands on learning materials to be able to fully understand a lesson. We do all we can to support our students; however, sometimes, materials provided at school are simply not enough. We ask you to help us enhance the learning of our students and prolong their academic success. You can help us enhance and enable special education learning!
