  • Making Mindful Moments

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so much for contributing to my "Making Mindful Moments" project. Your support helped to make the start of this school year amazing! I was able to stock my office with the essential supplies I needed for my students. I cannot thank you enough for your support. I am passionate about my students and their wellbeing. Your donation helped to enable me to do what I love. I am a safe place for students to calm down, relax, regroup, and regulate emotions. I could not do as much without your support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your contribution. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.”

  • Social Emotional Learning Because These Students Matter!

    Funded Oct 20, 2021

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! The social and emotional learning and wellbeing of our students is so important. Thank you for helping me support this need at Scherkenbach Elementary School. The students are able to visit my office, destress, learn calming strategies, all thanks to your help. I need my office completely stocked with lessons, fidgets, books, and more. Without your help, I could not have accomplished this on my own. When we work together, so much more is accomplished. I appreciate all of the support I have received.

Thank you so much for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Clark

  • Building Better Little Humans

    Funded Nov 3, 2023

The students at Scherkenbach Elementary School have benefited and continue to benefit from my project, "Building Better Little Humans." So many students struggle with self-regulation, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. My office is now stocked with resources to help support every student. I am so thankful for the support. Supplies for my office are consumable, so that students can take fidgets and other supplies with them and can always come back for more. I appreciate having resources for these students, and they appreciate it even more. Helping students stay calm also means that they are ready to learn. The goal is always to help every student become their best self. With the help of donors, I am able to make a big impact on student learning.”

  • Laptop for Learning

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your support during the pandemic. The laptop that I received helped me tremendously during online learning. I had a very outdated personal laptop that could not run google meets and present multiple screens with out crashing. I then began using a school issued Chromebook, that was definitely an improvement, but would randomly drop the Google meet that I was holding with my class. Once I received the new laptop, my teaching improved tremendously. Not only could I share my screen and videos, but there was NO lagging! I was able to successfully run my document camera, present my tabs, chat with students, and hold my online Google meetings, all without fail. I cannot thank you enough for your support during this past school year. I went from teaching only online from home, to teaching online from my school building, to teaching half of my class in person and half of my class online. It was the most challenging year I have had in my 28 years of teaching. I learned so much though, and was able to connect with my students on a deeper level honestly. Technology was one of the keys to my success. Your generous donations were, and continue to be so appreciated. You have made such a positive impact!”

    Funded Sep 10, 2020

This project has brought so much joy and fun to my classroom. My students and I just love BrainPop. It's such a fun learning tool and brings so many topics to life. My students live when I add BrainPop to our Canvas modules. The quizzes test their learn of new content, and every topic is of high interest! Thank you so much for helping me bring more excitement to online learning! My class and I appreciate it so much! Your donation means the world to us! Thank you so much for your generosity! You've shared in our year of distance learning, and it wasn't always easy, but you definitely helped to make it more fun!”

  • Books to the Rescue!

    Funded Sep 19, 2020

Thank you so much for helping me fund this book project for my students. My students are invited to join me at the end of each day for our Book Club. Some like to call it Story and Snack time, but whatever we call it, we are developing our love for reading together! I feel so fortunate to be able to share these novels with my students because they are some of my favorite books.

Spending time each afternoon with students that want to go on this "journey" with me, getting to know characters that transport us to different places is just priceless to me. Your donation is so

    appreciated!”

  • Technology is What We Need Please!

    Funded Aug 29, 2019

Thank you so much for helping my students obtain a chromebook to use as a classroom technology center. They love taking a turn on it, and it greatly enhanced their learning! Students love using it for Google Classroom, MobyMax, Prodigy, and so much more! My students love making a sharing Google slide shows. It gives them a chance to share their independent learning with the whole class. In addition to that, my class was first place in the school wide MobyMax come Brest in the Fall, and 3rd place in the Spring! I'm always excited when I can get them excited about learning. Thank you for your help!”

I am a truly blessed teacher of 25 amazing 3rd graders! This is my 26th year of teaching, and every year seems to be more exciting than the last! I have a Disney themed classroom this year, and our class motto is inspired by Walt Disney: "If you can dream it, you can do it!" I am dedicating this year to teach my students that nothing is impossible!
