ABCs and 123s
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you for your wonderful donation. The children were so excited to see the new learning center activities! We immediately added them to our classroom.
These items really enhanced our science center. In particular, the students really loved the magnet activities and the measuring activities. The letters were a great addition to our sensory table and to our ABC center.
It's so important to keep the children excited and engaged. Four years olds have a shorter attention span than older children and new materials are a big help in keeping them on task.”

Funded Jan 12, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students love the experience of cooking and really enjoy tasting new foods. They are also getting great exposure to measurement, science, math and fine motor skills.
The materials you gave us will be used for years to come. Future classes will also benefit from your generosity. Thank you so much for providing us a way to enrich the children's PreK experience. It is a joy to watch them discover what they can do independently and see them grow and learn.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for donating to your classroom. We have really been enjoying the new supplies. One of the resources the children really love are the flannel board story props. We have been using them during music time for songs and in the library as story props. Most recently we studied The Three Little Pigs in our building unit and the resources really created a lot of learning opportunities. Thank you again for enriching our classroom and sparking interest and joy in the students. Without you it would not be possible!”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your donation we have been enjoying the resources so much! The children really love the puppets for acting out stories. The challenge boxes were also big hits. Recently we did a unit on building and the children had a great time engaging with The Three Little Pigs activities. We are planning a whole fairy tale unit where we can incorporate all of the materials in our lessons. Thank you again for caring about public education you really make a difference. Without your support we could not have brought these lessons to life.”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Thank you so much for getting us a shelf to store all of our art materials. It is so nice to have an organized place to keep all of our papers and craft supplies. This also makes clean-up a breeze!
One of our favorite things about this shelf is that the children can now choose their own art supplies independently. This has really opened up the door to creativity. Often, during centers, the children will choose to draw or make a collage or even something exciting like making a puppet.
Going forward we have decided to participate in the Studio in a School program so that we can go more in depth teaching the children how to use the art supplies and giving them basic technique. Thank you again for really enriching our student's lives.”

Funded May 4, 2021Thank you so much for donating art supplies to our classroom! We have been enjoying them since the second they arrived! The students are using their new smocks for art and for messy sensory play. We have used the different types of paints such as foam and glitter paint to add excitement to our usual projects and to create new works of art. There is so much we have been able to do with the new materials like make collages, self-portraits, murals and easel paintings. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, it means so much to us!”

Funded Nov 18, 2020Thank you so much for the outdoor play equipment. We are beyond thrilled to have these materials! We are lucky enough to have a nice outdoor playground space but did not have the resources to engage in gross motor play like catch or kickball.
The children love the balls and balance walkers and have been using them everyday. We have noticed a big improvement in the children's skills since we first began using the toys. The children are showing better hand-eye coordination, balance, running, and team work skills.
I can't express how much your donation has positively impacted our class and students. The children look forward to going outside everyday and playing with the new materials. Thank you again for making such a difference in the lives of our children.”

Sitting Pretty in PreK
Funded Jan 14, 2021Thank you so much for the comfortable seat cushions that you donated to our classroom. They have made such a different in the quality of our students' school experience this year. Due to Covid-19 we do not have a rug in our classroom for the children to sit on, and now they do not have to sit on the cold hard floor.
Our children are so happy to have the cushions and they use them all the time. We sit on them during story time, circle time and center time. The children have been taking such good care of them that it has been a great lesson in independence.
My class is so lucky that people like you care enough to make a difference. It may seem like a little thing but it makes a big impact. If you did not make this donation I would have ended up purchasing them myself out of my own money so I also thank you for saving me the expense since they are quite a pricey item. Thank you again!”

Funded Mar 21, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations. The nap time supplies you gave us were such a help to our classroom. The cot sheets are specially made for school cots and do not need to be taken on and off everyday. This may not seem like a big deal, but such a small thing has made it so much easier to set-up and clean-up for naps. The name tags are also specially made for school cots and make it so much easier to see the children's names. This allows the children to be more independent at rest time.
When our students first saw the supplies they were super excited! The parents were happy too, now they do not have to worry about their child being comfortable at rest time. Many of the teachers in my building are now also interested in getting these items for their own classes. As a public school teacher it is hard to get the things we need for an early childhood classroom, so donors like you really make all the difference.
These materials will last me for years to come. I will be able to use them with my future classes due to the high quality of the materials. Thank you so much again for your generous gift.”

Ms. Bernhard
