Young children learn best through play. What a better way then to provide my students with items the will spark their imagination and creativity. During play, we as teachers have an opportunity to work with our students on so many skills. Language skills, sharing skills, self control and pretend skills, among others. Many of my student's lack these skills. These items would allow us to use and model appropriate language skills naturally in play. We can also models appropriate social skills while playing. The opportunities are endless for engaging in play and learning.
